Sorry you don't like it. I like it.

Jez November 30, 2006 2:54 PM

Don't apologise to him for his opinion. :P

8/10 - It was good but it was not Torchwood-ey enough for me. That said, the way The Captain (The Captain and The Doctor - every army needs a medic :)) ended the affair was quite similar to the way The Doctor would have. :D

no it wasn't, Captain Jack mercilessly killed the alien...whereas the Doctor would have looked for any possible way to deal with it without killing...unless you mean the final scene?

Jez December 1, 2006 2:53 PM

Nope, I mean the scene:

Alien: "What have you done to it?"
Cap'n J: "I've set it to enable..."
*Alien dissappears*
Cap'n J: "...around about now, I'd say"

Besides, the death of the alien is a minor technicality. The Doctor killed Daleks and didn't he! :P

The earlier Doctors (except possibly Colin Baker) would have never considered killing this alien to really be the first solution...though after the Time War the Doctor has become a lot colder and the way Jack handled the situation is very reminiscent of the actions of the latest two (especially Eccleston).

Jack's learned well. ;)

Ben Dawson December 2, 2006 5:02 AM

well, he's the star of this show...mind, he's really changed since this started...hey, do you think that the events of next years Doctor Who episodes with Jack in has already happened to Jack in Torchwood?

Danny Stewart December 2, 2006 10:01 AM

I don't think they'd do that...

Ben Dawson December 2, 2006 10:13 AM

it's been done before, it's not that far fetched

Danny Stewart December 2, 2006 10:37 AM

No, I mean what we've seen so far suggests against it.
