yeah, but Nirvana wasn't a commercial band, they hated the idea of that...Kurt Cobain even more so.
Uh? The link was the teen angst bit, not the commercial bit. :P
Besides, they are a commercial band nowadays (the fact that Cobain's said to be the top earner of all dead celebs kinda suggests that :P). That, and their music can hardly be described as metal (although you might like to do that they didn't invent Grunge either....they just brought it to the fore of popular music. In a sense, they made Grunge commercial. :D) |
they made it popular, not commercial. There is a difference.
*sigh* No "teen angst" mood. Ever. I hate the word angst. People who use it are usually... well... I'll stop there. No angst moods. :P
are usually what?:(
Nirvana fans. :P
That, or simply annoying. ;) (PS - Popular = Commercial success = Commercial :D) |
grrrrrrrr argh

That's why I don't like most popular bands, but more specifically Nirvana. "RIP Kurt"? You don't see anyone with "RIP Einstein" in their name, and Einstein was fifteen-trillion times more important. At least. People's reactions to the Croc Hunter's death annoyed me too. I couldn't care less but thousands if not millions of people acted as if Jesus 2 had just been crucified. Stuff like that pisses me off. It continually reminds me how stupid and narrow minded most of the human race is. </rant> |
you've obviously over looked my signature then haven't you.

Cheeky bastard :D

I noticed that before I even saw this line of correspondance. I was very confused for a while there.

Ben, the ten character limit exists for a reason. Make your posts mean something instead of getting around it like that.

Lol, this topic got hugely OT
Dragging it back into the stage that built for it: What's happened to the mood status? I notice you've updated the forums a bit so I'm guessing it's been done over with the new version. :D |
Yes, I've noticed a few changes recently aswell.
Well spotted, Jez! You're right, I broke it. Now I feel silly -- I didn't even realize! I'll attempt to put it back this evening. Apologies to all affected.
The explanation is that the person who made the style that we use on here released an updated version, so I updated this site's version, checked to make sure that nothing was seriously affected (and fixed things that I had noticed), then moved on. You may also notice that the navbar has disappeared, and now there's just the top one which is done by images. How do you get to the Arcade and Chat you may ask? No worries -- I've put them into the Quick Links pulldown box so we don't have to worry about extra links anymore. :) Still, apologies about the mood hack. As I said I will put it back this evening. |
I've also noticed that if you want to see someone's profile it takes you to Zoints (never heard of it :P).
Yes, I was about to explain that... :D
Are there any other changes?
A couple of minor things... I've added something that automatically closes threads after 60 days of inactivity, I'm working on a new forum rules system (which is why I'm asking about it in the other thread), and I've cleaned up the forum interface a bit (condensed some forums and redone the links). Other than that, I don't think so.
OK, great! :)
Excellent! :)
Nice stuff. Don't worry, the Mood thing not being there didn't reduce my day to being any worse than it already was, lol. :D
And it's back now, so hopefully your day has improved just that much. ;)
it should be noted that the mellow one looks high
Good to know you're enjoying them, Ben.
hey look, Dalek104 is high
