I'm trying to instigate a serious discussion about the upcoming episodes, but if you're all going to be stupid about it....

Jamie Minty April 21, 2008 1:22 PM

The Docotr's Daughter looks to be interesting. Georgia Moffat is my friends cousin and therefore PD is his uncle (honest).

But it should be interesting to see if it really will be the Doctor's Daughter. And where/when will it be set?

Oh and heres the funny bit Georgia Moffat is actually Peter Davisons daughter (Good Joke guys)

Ronnie Rowlands April 21, 2008 1:23 PM

Peh. I thought we all knew that Georgia Moffat was Davison's daughter.

Yes, but probably far less entertaining.

Yup, the mention is on the rooftop.

Donna: 'Cause I thought, how'd you find the doctor and then I just thought, look for trouble and then he'll turn up, so I looked everywhere. You name it. UFOs, sightings, crop circles, sea monsters, <not sure what she says here>, I found them all! And that stuff (almost sounds like 'song') about the bees disappearing, I thought that is connected!

<blah blah, blah blah>

Doctor: What do you mean the bees are dissipearing?

Donna: I dunno, that's what it says on the internet! On the same site there was all these conspiarcy theories about Adipose industries, so I thought let's take a look!

Bloody.. trying to type what Tate says down during one of her fast ranting shpeals is annoying as hell. I'm not doing that again. BREATHE WOMAN.

Ronnie Rowlands April 21, 2008 1:29 PM

Ah, that is interesting. Maybe it is some sort of finale related arc after all. This should really be split into its own thread. Mods? :)

Daleks and Bees in a related arc? No way would that work.

Yeah, Bees alone are too fucking scary, bees and daleks would be... crazy.

Josef Kenny April 21, 2008 1:43 PM

I've always felt a deep empathy for bees since I trod on one a couple of years back and it stung my bare foot.

Chris Britton April 21, 2008 1:49 PM

The prospect of Daleks and Bees working together somehow is simply absurd, if that happens I will pay for everyone to come meet me in cardiff so we can Kill RTD is the most painful way possible. I'm personally thinking of a corkscrew inserted into a certain dangly appendage then twisting it really hard.

Josef Kenny April 21, 2008 1:50 PM

RTD is pretty tall though. We'd have to dope him first.

I can trust you to ensure we have enough? ;)

Superkid11 April 21, 2008 1:55 PM

The Daleks would just get stung to death.

I admit I'm afraid of anything with a stinger.

Josef Kenny April 21, 2008 1:55 PM

Yup, I've decided we should penetrate his cup of tea and install syrup, tartar sauce, LSD and a large amount of muscle relaxant.

Epic win! and +5

Danny Stewart April 21, 2008 3:33 PM

And on that note, I must comment on the epic win nature of Ronnie's new signature.

Ronnie Rowlands April 22, 2008 7:19 AM

What on earth are you all talking about? Really, I'm feeling rather sad. Of COURSE I'm not suggesting a thread about bees and Daleks. A thread about speculation towards this years story arc and finale, in my opinion, would be rather good. We used to always speculate :(

Whats to discuss? I think we all know whats gonna happen.

Rose comes back to Earth, Donna, Martha, Rose, Jack and Sarah fight to see who becomes The Doctors bitch, Daleks try to conquer the Earth for the 5th time in 4 years, Doctor saves the Earth again, the end.

Ronnie Rowlands April 22, 2008 7:27 AM

Orly, and where have you heard this? Seriously, where's everyone's imagination? The one thing I looked forward to when Danny unbanned me was reviewing episodes and speculating like knicker wetting fangirls, the way we did in previous years. Now everyone's being depressingly cynical.

Well a certain Youtube video was linked to us showing behind the scenes footage involving Daleks, there is also a Dalek teaser trailer on the BBC youtube channel.

Plus it's been conformed and true for ages about all the companions coming back.

I don't want to come across as having a go at you, but i'm just putting two and two together really, i did not mean to come across as so harsh. I just don't think the finale is worth discussion as there's not much to speculate,

Ronnie Rowlands April 22, 2008 9:46 AM

Well, I think there is plenty to speculate. I mean, we all knew that the Master was coming back at the end of the last series, we were still always thinking about how it tied in with earlier references. I guess I am the only one who is intrigued as to how things as early as series one link to this finale.

Jez April 22, 2008 11:09 AM

By the way guys, in the UK, the bees are actually "disappearing" (i.e. reducing in numbers). Could just be a RL reference (heaven forbid a minor detail not have any relevance to future/past episodes)

Superkid11 April 22, 2008 12:04 PM

Lucky you. Killer Bees are actually bcoming more numerous in the US.

I hate bees. Yet another reason I'm moving to the UK one day.

Dont come over, it is a silly place.

Ben Dawson April 22, 2008 2:59 PM

To be honest, I don't think there were references to this seasons ending as far back as season 1, I think RTD is running out of ideas, so is hastily coing up with a REALLY far-fetched storry like that/

Ross Hendrie April 22, 2008 3:11 PM

It'll probably just be a few scattered phrases that happen to fit in with his plan for this season.

Loving the cynicism, guys. You all make me proud. :D

Jez April 22, 2008 5:00 PM

Did you notice my new message beneath my name Danny? :P

Even HAL wants RTD out. ;)

Ross is right - the UK is a silly place at the moment. We desperately need a change of government (but that'll be for another thread ;))

I hate wasps. I don't care for bees much either but I don't mind getting attacked by a single bee because I know it'll only do it's worst once. ;)

I did, and I loved it! Sorry for not commenting on it before now.

I still prefer it there to here.

I'm always amazed about the amount of friends I have in the US who really want to come to Britain to live, and despite saying the weather is bad and rebellious youths run around the place by cancer I admire thier devotion.

You ever come over here Danny and I would welcome you and help you to settle in! :) Since you have seen England before that gives you all the more reason to come over sometime.

Well we don't know yet, do we. And RTD has said that this series has been seeded for over 3 years. Well I think it'll be epic. I don't understand why everyone is being so cynical. It depresses me.

Why do i suddenly get a sense of dread then even after he leaves he's got the next ten series planned out and if the new dev team down not comply then there will be heavily built guards clothed in black with heavy whips and BBC wales has become a slave labour camp?

And you believe that RTD says? lol

We should all have learned by now to treat everything he says with due skepticism. Which is a lot.

I'm sorry, umm... come again?

Ok Ross. Lets bet a week of slavery to each other. If there are no references or major links to the last 3 series, I will eat my hat and post it on youtube. If there is, I will then think of some fantastic and humiliating way for you to reimburse your debts. Deal?

I was babbling when i wrote that. I ment to say was whats the chances that RTD will remain creative control over the series after he leaves?

Emm... No Deal. :P

Ronnie Rowlands April 23, 2008 4:16 PM

Wimp. 2 years ago you would have bet your arse on a silver platter that Davros would return in the finale. Just as well you didn't though, because you'd have nothing to defecate with nowadays! :P

And Ronnie would have had something else to sit on no doubt :P And a free platter to auction off EBay.

Ronnie Rowlands April 25, 2008 7:07 AM

Well here's something to think about. First letters in "Bees are Disappearing." 'B', 'A' and 'D'. I wonder if there's a wolf involved...
