Hmmm, but i asked them to buy it, does that make me a bad person.

Blu-ray is such a rip-off. watched Spider-man 3 (best i could get) blu-ray and i couldn't tell it was HD.

If I were to venture a guess, I would have to say that that was the fault of something in your specific setup, and not a flaw in the Blu-ray format itself, seeing as, you know, the whole world is getting ready to switch to Blu-ray. I think someone else might have noticed if it wasn't HD. Maybe.

I could notice a picture that's in HD but I don't intend to get any HD stuff. I don't care about watching something in slightly better definition.

Theres nothing wrong with the set-up. I have an HDMI and makes the games look beautiful. You just don't notice a difference unless you watch the normal DVD first and then the blu-ray one. Everyone I know has said exactly the same

Well, no one I know has said that.

Jamie Minty January 7, 2008 4:12 PM

Well, the pictures good it just doesn't say HD!!!
It does in games but for DVD's you need a comparison. Bare in mind all i've seen is spiderman3 might be different with the Simpsons movie or something completely animated. With normal scenes in the street with real people you ust cant see it.

Dalek104 January 7, 2008 4:37 PM

I've seen HD footage and I can say that it is noticeably different.

But SD is still perfectly fine.

I find the correlation between that console and people of a low level of intelligence amusing.

I imagine the reason it doesn't say HD is because big, red letters reminding you that you're watching a HD movie would just piss people off.

I find the correlation between the XBox 360 and people of a low level of intelligence, care, or understanding of technology to be on a far more amusing scale. "FIFA '08!"

You know, I think we're on to something.

The correlation between people and low levels of intelligence.
