Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 8:27 AM

I am the Devil, you are the D. F********CK YOU, you try to wire my jaw shut then you will taste my f**king lightning, F**ker.

F**K, F**K, F*******K, the demon code prevents me, from declining a rock off challenge, what are your terms? What's the caa-aa-aash.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 8:45 AM

Erm...Tenacious D lyrics by any chance......?

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 8:47 AM

yeah, have you heard the song? I bet you didn't like it if you did cos it's a rock song and all, but it is a comedic rock

Ooooh. Internet threats!

Calm down, ladies. Ben, don't bait him. Ronnie, cool it.

Tenacious D rule.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 9:07 AM

No I don't like rock, I prefer music, I find that screaming into a microphone cannot be classed as music.

Cool it RV? Like you do on MSN? Give me a break.

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 9:11 AM

it's not all screaming down a microphone, ever listened to the Rolling Stones, you try singing like that.
Ah, RV, I can see why you like Tenacious D, they are a funny band, though I am surprised in a way because you don't like rock music yet they can pretty damn heavy.

Yeah, cool it. Ben isn't worth your time nor is he worth wrecking a topic over.

And Rock is music.

I'm splitting this.

I do, in fact, like rock. I have an awful lot of Marilyn Manson and Rammstein on my disk, although I don't listen to them much anymore. I prefer dramatic orchestral/cinematic stuff these days.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 9:15 AM

Yes, Ben, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc.. are not 'Rock' singers, they are 'Rock 'n Roll' singers. There is a difference. I also like 'Light metal' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvHgSmLLrVo Taken from 'A bit of fry and Laurie.' Please listen to it:D

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 9:18 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvHgSmLLrVo Again, take a look at the 'Light metal' sketch from fry and Laurie :D

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 9:18 AM

ah, now it's all fitting into place.

Double Post, Double Post. Alert...alert.

Edit: Crap, so is this post, editing time

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 9:20 AM

What did you think of it?

Recurring Villain January 6, 2007 9:21 AM

Sometimes I wonder what year Ronnie is living in... ;)

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 9:25 AM

erm...you can't really make anything with only an electric guitar, it doesn't have any body to it and it's incredibley dry, and that's a bad overdrive sound. I didn't like it, but as a comedy thing it's ok.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 9:26 AM

Did Ben forget to finish that sentence? And RV, what do you mean by that?

The things you like, your mentality and attitude all reflect very antiquated values. You're like an old man stuck in a kid's body.

You're the kind of person who's always looking back to when times were "better", except you weren't born then and they actually weren't... If you were 60 you'd be saying "back in my day, they didn't do nudity in the television programmes", Ben would be calling you "grandpa" and I'd be trying to get you into an old folks home (kidding :P).

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 9:33 AM

but the rest of us would still be getting off to Torchwood, wouldn't we

this one's good, I think you may have got me into this.

You mean to say Ronnie might be the reincarnation of Mary Whitehouse?!

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 11:30 AM

I don't like mary Whitehouse, she was politically correct, and she ruined television for everyone.

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 11:34 AM

she was heavily influencial on cancelling Doctor Who.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 11:35 AM

She's dead now.

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 12:07 PM

that's what I said, she died like 6 years ago

Ronn, I do not want to hear that from you ever again. You are on my forums with a proper chain of command in place -- RV is a moderator, and you are a regular user, and if he tells you to calm down, you have to listen. I agree with him in this place because he's doing his job -- his moderator duties came first in that post. An apology would be good, but listening to the moderators in future would be even better.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 2:34 PM

I just don't like hypocricy, that's all.

Sorry.

There.

No one said you have to like hypocrisy, but you do have to listen to the mods, and with as little complaint as possible.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 2:46 PM

Well that's daft. We should be allowed to take issue with mods, and I did what he said didn't I? I stopped didn't I. My posts after that were calm, before you made your post, and now my blood pressure is rising again...

You're more than welcome to take issue with mods when they're wrong. RV was in no way wrong by making that post.

That's not really my problem, but I believe there are medicines available for that.

Jez January 6, 2007 3:03 PM

You can't compare a forum with a personal chat between you and him. Chats are expected to be heated. On a forum, you have time to spend on your post. If you're really pissed off, go and take five.

On another note, if you seriously can't take being poked fun at, you're going to have a big shock once you get a job.

Well that's a matter of opinion. And by blood pressure, I mean temper, and I don't need this on top of the stress I have been through today.
And Jez, I have had jobs, well, hobbies more than anything else, in plays I have been in, and I have been poked fun at and antagonised in a lot of rehersals, and considering how long they last, there is school, and even being with my family usually results with me having the piss taken out of me to the brink of erupting. And I came here, it happens here. "Oh look, there's Ron, let's take the piss out of him, because he doesn't do anything." they say. I'm always expected to lie down, and walk away. I know better not to stick up for myself now, after the reception I have had here. No escape for me really is there...

And even now you are not taking me seriously. Great. This is what people have come to expect from me. For me to lie down and walk away. Great, Thanks a bunch.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 3:26 PM

Why am I even bothering trying to stick up for myself? Why am I even bothering staying here? What use am I?

We've also come to expect you to say "Great" a lot.

I never liked Fry and Laurie. Seperately (eg Blackadder) they're hilarious, but I never found them funny together. Stephen Fry is 'great' on QI too.

Keep 'em coming. I'm not going to do anything am I?

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 3:36 PM

well, I don't try to antagonize you, I just considered it a bit of fun but if it bothers you this much then I'll cut it out. I'm sure we'd all miss you if you left, true, I don't think RV quite knows when to be joking and when to be serious but that's his problem and not yours, so try not to dwell on it, just be thankful that somebody respects your feelings about it.

  • I don't know. Ask Charles Darwin.
  • Because you've been here for ages already and you like it here?
  • As much use as most people on the internet.

I would dispute that. But I wont because this isn't my slumber party.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 3:53 PM

Well why should I bother sticking up for myself when it is clear that no one likes me here? The more people take the piss, the more I dislike it here.

Ben Dawson January 6, 2007 3:57 PM

Hey, I'm here.

Ronnie Rowlands January 6, 2007 3:59 PM

So I am you am I? I am exactly the same as you and I have the same tolerance levels as you? Is that what it is is it?

You seem to have very, very low tolerance levels for anything...
