Ronn's competition.

something has changed about me. something to do with my presence on the forums. it could be anything, my personality, time between posts, style of posting, any of those or more, something is different about me. and the first person to find out what it is will win a prize. I will see if I can mail my pillow to them. so get difference spotting!!!

I'm not entirely sure I want your pillow.

Ronnie Rowlands April 15, 2007 4:38 PM

you've obviously never laid on my pillow then. can you try and spot it anyway?:P

Dalek104 April 15, 2007 4:50 PM

Is it the fact that you've recently became so interested in your pillow?

Jez April 15, 2007 4:51 PM

You're more aggressive. ;)

Ronnie Rowlands April 15, 2007 4:52 PM

well, Dalek is right about my pillow, not sure about Jez's theory of increased aggressiveness, but even so, that's not what I'm thinking of. keep guessing :P

Danny Stewart April 15, 2007 4:53 PM

I liked Dalek's theory. :D

Dalek104 April 15, 2007 4:53 PM

Can I have your pillow, anyway?

Ronnie Rowlands April 15, 2007 5:05 PM

if you win :P

Ben Dawson April 15, 2007 6:12 PM

1. You've started making competitions

2. You've got a girlfriend

3. You're happier about life

4. You've finally rated an episode of Doctor Who 10/10 and/or really REALLY liked it.

all I can think of for now.

Recurring Villain April 16, 2007 1:38 AM

You're now an unemployed drug-addict with 6 kids and your favorite word is 'innit'?

Jez April 16, 2007 4:01 AM

Or "hella".

You've cut your hair.

You haven't cut your hair.

You enjoy watching "fleshier" content on TV

Erm....

Ronnie Rowlands April 16, 2007 4:58 AM

ha. some of the things Ben said were true, but it's not what I'm looking for. a clue. the difference is in this post. right now. compare this post to any of my posts about a week ago and you'll see it. *looks around mysteriously and puts dark cloak back on and flies away"

A complete lack of capital letters except on names...?

Ronnie Rowlands April 16, 2007 5:05 AM

YES! competition closed, RV has won. the answer is yes, I have stopped using capital letters to start sentences, RV wins my pillow, if he's willing to post all of his contact details on here, which he won't, so he doesn't get it :P

Recurring Villain April 16, 2007 5:13 AM

Just build a statue of me or something.

I'll build my evil secret lair under it.

Ronnie Rowlands April 16, 2007 5:16 AM

if you can find out where I live :P

I'll just make a map of all the places in the UK with funny names and- Okay, yeah, I'll never find it.

MI7 April 16, 2007 8:50 AM

And you appear to be flaunting a complete lack of respect for the rules of grammar because...?

Ronnie Rowlands April 16, 2007 8:58 AM

excuse me? I don't have to answer you. I use punctuation in the right places, my spelling is fine, I don't use any intrenet or media slang. it's just a habit I've recently picked up from posting on another forum, and I've decided to do it here and make light of it. I see you put a question mark after your full stops. full stops are the end of a sentence, and you're starting your next sentence with a question mark?

two can play at that game matey.

It isn't a full stop, it's an ellipsis which is also known as an mission marks or a suspension. It is used to show the sentence is deliberately unfinished, and shows that the writer has simply "tailed off" into silence, deliberately leaving something unsaid.

So I'm completely entitled to place a question mark after the ellipsis.

And because you seemed to have interpreted what was simply an off-hand remark about randomly dropping capital letters from your posts as a personal affront, I have went into this detailed explanation over grammar. Let's stop it now.

Llandudno, Wales. :P

Danny Stewart April 16, 2007 11:36 AM

Actually, Ronn, I hate to break it to you, but your new habit is actually in violation of site policy.

I'm afraid I can't do periods. Don't want to get too technical as to why so all I'll say is that it's because I'm a dude. ;)

Danny Stewart April 16, 2007 4:56 PM

You and your silly UK vernacular. Full stops, whatever. :P

Recurring Villain April 17, 2007 3:56 AM

We say 'full stop' in Australia, too, but I say 'period' here because the main language of the Internet is American.

Danny Stewart April 17, 2007 7:23 AM

Thank you, RV. :P

You mean "American English" surely. ;)

Or the worst name "English (US)". Just a tad contradictive, that.

German is the language of Gods. English is a Germanic language. American English is English for people who got too used to spelling words exactly as they sound.....I blame the Romans.

How can you critise his grammer when you have just made more mistakes now!

(By the way I am not saying mine is great)

Ronnie Rowlands April 17, 2007 3:26 PM

way to bring up an old argument that nobody cares about.
