Spoiler tags added

I've just added a spoiler tag functionality to the site -- something we've needed for quite a while!

To use it, enter the following BB code into your posts (as an example):
HTML Code:

[spoiler=Logopolis]The Fourth Doctor dies[/spoiler]
Entering the above will produce this:

[spoiler=Logopolis]The Fourth Doctor dies[/spoiler]
Hope everyone finds this useful! :)

Certainly! This will be excellent to use. Thanks, Danny! :D

Danny Stewart April 27, 2007 6:13 PM

Thanks, Dalek. :)

Marinedalek April 27, 2007 6:13 PM

More accurate spoiler
[spoiler=Logopolis]The Fourth Doctor is injured and as a result regenerates into the Fifth Doctor (assuming accepted order of incarnations bearing in mind the Brain of Morbius dilemma)[/spoiler]

Danny Stewart April 27, 2007 6:14 PM

[spoiler=The Pete Show]Pete sucks. :P[/spoiler]

Recurring Villain April 27, 2007 8:05 PM

[spoiler=Old People]The internet is a series of tubes.[/spoiler]

Jez April 28, 2007 4:29 AM

Hah, I dunno what's better. Hiding the text by making it white or having a button to press that tells me the fourth doctor dies/regnerates, that Pete sucks and that the internet is made of tubes. ;)

It's not a big truck that you just dump something on.

Jez April 28, 2007 5:59 AM

But I thought my modem packed things up and placed them on a truck that is then driven by my ISP to a stop-off centre, where the packets are then transferred to another truck which might or might not get on a high speed ferry (depends on the locale of the receiver) and which would then go to a final stop-off centre were a truck of the receiver's ISP would pick up the packet and take it to the target modem where it is unpacked. :D

Unfortunately, during the the whole transportation procedure, especially on the ferry (rough seas), the packets can get lost. :(

You obviously need some serious help.

Jez April 29, 2007 3:54 AM

Oh wow! That makes everything so much simpler! :D

And much more economical and environmentally friendly too. :)

PS - Jon Stewart ftw.

Ben Dawson April 29, 2007 5:49 AM

I gotta give this a go
[spoiler=Ben's huge new thing] Ben has started a journal[/spoiler]
This is so totally awesome.

Ross Hendrie April 29, 2007 12:30 PM

I don't know about that. There are still rules in place, you know. :P

I'm only writing this to get around the word limit.

Sam Davies April 30, 2007 8:51 AM

That's pretty clever.

Danny Stewart May 1, 2007 12:08 PM

Daryl, I refer you to the forum rules on grammar. Try and use complete sentences when possible please.

Sam Davies May 2, 2007 4:10 AM

I'm probably never going to use them though I never know any spoilers. Where do you lot get them from?

robertbeare May 2, 2007 4:31 AM

There used to be, but no one used it, so I turned it off.

Sam Davies May 14, 2007 9:17 AM

Why don't you bring it back? I would use it. Also what happened to the thanks button. I can't find it.

Danny Stewart May 14, 2007 1:27 PM

Turned that off too. Only a few users using it doesn't equate to the system being useful.
