Doctor Who 3x10 - "Blink"
Plot Summary - Written by Steven Moffat
In an old, abandoned house, the Weeping Angels wait. Only the Doctor can stop them, but he is trapped in time. However, when people start disappearing, a young woman called Sally finds cryptic messages bleeding through from 1969 – messages from a mysterious stranger called the Doctor. But can she decipher them before the Angels claim their best prize yet? |
I'm getting bored of these. Thank goodness next week's episode is a "proper" episode.

Better then it;s equiviliant from last year I will say.
Oh yes, might i enquire as to why my poll got deleted, im sure it appeared first, im worried as it got deleted? :( |
I really enjoyed it. Danny, if you're still in touch with Murray Gold, tell him I think he did a wonderful job on the music there. That was real horror! Handled much better than last year's I thought. 7/10.
|
I watch Doctor Who because I enjoy watching the Doctor and all of his quirks. When the majority of time is spent in a situation where the Doctor isn't present, my enjoyment factor goes down.
Yes, the plot was good. And yes, it was a lot better than the last two episodes. However, for me, Doctor Who isn't Doctor Who without, suprise suprise, the Doctor playing a lengthy role in it. The strange thing about this is that a lot of people I know who were around to watch the classic series when they were originally broadcast share a similar viewpoint. They feel that the makers are messing around with the concept too much. |
An excellent episode! Much better than 'Love and Monsters'. :) Unhappy about the credits, though. :(
Oh, and Chris, this thread was made first. :P |
Next week i will beat you ;)
Jez, i can agree with you mate, i had the same arguement last year with "Love and Monsters" But this time there was mroe Doctor around and it was not as comical and more serious, this was a deecent episode :) |

RE the episode though: I feel praise is in order for Bill Cosby's inspired guest appearance. |
Mine had a post too :P
|
He means Poll but he got owned in his correction. Good job RV can't see this. :P

I posted in this one because Chris's had no poll (although he was probably doing that at the time). :P
|
Fantastic! Absolutley great, great, great!:D I loved it, The whole idea of getting the transcript from the future: getting it from Sally, was great. I voted 9/10 for Family of Blood as i knew there could be a better one, this is it. This is why i love Doctor Who 10/10 :D
|
MIne had both a poll and a post, i assure you :) and next week if you give me a chance, i will do it :)
|
Back on topic, guys. No one cares who starts the poll.
That said, getting two 10/10s from me in a row is unheard of. And yet here I am. <3 Steven Moffat. |
Ym, Danny, in season 1 you gave everything 10/10 ;)
|
This was an amazing episode, not quite on par with last week but it was truly a thing of beauty, especially Sally Sparrow (:P). I agree, it totally rocks compared to "Love and Monsters". It's the first episode in a while to really thrill me, those statue monster thingies were really scary actually. And the ending! That rocked. :D

EDIT: Oh, and 10/10 for me. |
Sally sparrow was a goddess, i would date her ;) and marry her :P
|
Shes Hot! This may sound strange but she reminds me of a cross between Keira Knightley and Danille Lloyd :P
|
Danielle Llyod is Ygly!
Now Keira Knightly, shes something ;) |

well shes a racist cow. easily led astray and only famous for bonking a footballer.
Anyway back on track, what I want to know is what people thought of this compared to "Love and Monsters", the other Doctor lite episode |

I thought this was much better than Love and Monsters |
More Doctor in this one, and of course it was more scary :)
|
I really enjoyed this one, even though The Doctor wasn't the center of the plot. :P It was probably the scariest one to date!
|
I thought it was quite scary.
And as ive already said, it pwnt Love and Monsters. Id take Carey Mulligan over Billie Piper anyday. :D |
I'd take both of them.
At the same time. |
Lol, Danny, your imagination knows no bounds? :P

This was a great episode, much better than some of the other episodes. but not quite on par with The Family of Blood...9/10 from me.
|
Family of Blood was a corker, this one, although not as good, did not dissappoint :)
|
*Thumbs Up*
I loved that episode; eventhough it didn't contain much of The Docter or Martha, it was brilliant. Even I was scared!:o
|
I thought it was a classy episode, scary and sad in parts :)
|
I thought this one was absolutely fantastic, particularly the ending. That got my friend all outraged - she just banged her fists on the chair and shouted "Oh well done, freak out the whole bloody country!"
