Danny's Holiday

I'm going on holiday tomorrow to the sunny beaches of North Carolina. I'll be gone from this Saturday to next Saturday, but of course, being me, I will have multiple computers with me, so aside from having fun at the beach, internet connectivity won't be a problem and I'm sure you'll all still see me on here. I'll be stepping back in my posting and in my administrative duties for the week I'm gone, though, so I'll be entrusting my staff to keep track of what's going on and take care of this place while I'm away. Talk to you all soon!

Dalek104 July 13, 2007 3:25 PM

Thanks for telling us, Danny! Hope you have a brilliant holiday! :D

Danny Stewart July 13, 2007 3:26 PM

Thanks very much, James! I'm sure I'll have a great time. :D

Superkid11 July 13, 2007 4:19 PM

Have fun! I sure wish I could go to a beach, I haven't been to one in a long time. :P

Again, have fun and be sure not to step on any crabs!

Jez July 13, 2007 4:40 PM

You mean I actually have to visit this site now? For a whole week!?? :P

Actually, that could be a problem as my net is giving me evils. :(

Danny Stewart July 13, 2007 5:05 PM

Thanks everyone! Sorry to hear about your netz problemz, Jez. Good luck with them.

Recurring Villain July 13, 2007 10:27 PM

I guess now is the opportune time to turn this into RecurringVillain.com

Oh yes.

Ronnie Rowlands July 14, 2007 5:56 AM

Me, Ross, Chris and now Danny all on holiday? sheesh

Ross Hendrie July 14, 2007 11:17 AM

Actually I got back from mine last night. It was good, really great place. Though passing through Glasgow Airport was weird, with the place all boarded up and still smelling of smoke. Did I mention I flew out the day before it was bombed?

Anyways, enjoy your holiday Danny. :)

Ronnie Rowlands July 14, 2007 12:08 PM

Lucky you!

Ronnie Rowlands July 14, 2007 12:42 PM

will you get a computer Dalek? I need to kick some arse on Braingames on MSN! Speaking of which, come on msn or gtalk, I'm bored, and the guy next to me stinks of piss

EDIT: actually, it's the food the owner is eating, sorry Stalios!

Hardly lucky, the attack was a failure.

Jez July 15, 2007 6:15 AM

Lol, I saw a comment on CNN saying something like "These terrorists suck. When are they gonna learn how to actually bomb things?"

Recurring Villain July 16, 2007 1:36 AM

It's amusing to watch them clutching at straws to try and make a big deal of the Glasgow attack. Seriously, if the terrorists are that pathetic why exactly are we fighting a "war" against them? Seems we're pretty safe due to the terrorists' own incompetence.

Danny Stewart July 16, 2007 10:59 AM

Well, everyone, I've arrived safely in North Carolina and I'm having fun so far. Internet is exceptionally useless here but I managed to get signal if I hold my laptop out the window at a 37-degree angle, so here I am. Don't expect me to be on as much as I said though. :P

Dalek104 July 16, 2007 12:23 PM

Great to know you got there okay! Enjoy the rest of your holiday! :)

Err, a holiday is supposed to be relaxing most of the time, so I think we'll understand if you dont wanna do that just to visit us. :P

The Glasgow attack is a big deal, even if only for the fact that they managed to go through with it. And it wasn't incompetance, the Glasgow attack was planned in less than a day because the London attacks failed, so it's not surprising it didn't do much damage even though it did succeed.

I think you underestimate just how important the internet is in my day-to-day life. :P

Danny Stewart July 21, 2007 2:19 PM

I am now officially back home, and getting settled in nicely. It's nice to sit in a chair again instead of curling up on a bunk bed and trying to use a computer set up on the dresser beside you. Anyway, back to whatever you all were doing before. :P

Ronnie Rowlands July 21, 2007 3:09 PM

Officially eh? Bet there was a lot of paperwork.

oh I am so hilar'

Ross Hendrie July 21, 2007 3:35 PM

Welcome back, did you enjoy yourself?

I did, thanks! Had a great time. It is nice to be back home though.

Ben Dawson July 22, 2007 9:10 AM

I bet, I have a friend who's going away for an entire month, too long for me. Anyway, glad you're back.

I know the feeling. It's like you want to go home but stay at the same time.

Exactly. Clearly, the solution is to pick up your entire home and move it to your vacation spot. ;)

Ross Hendrie July 22, 2007 6:40 PM

Indeed. That'd be cool actually.

Ronnie Rowlands July 23, 2007 4:35 AM

I can't wait to sleep at home again. So that I don't have to put up with those goddam crickets all night. Also, the air conditioning broke down last night so I got about 1 hour sleep. At least I fly home tomorrow.

Jez July 23, 2007 4:52 AM

Don't they have chairs in NC? I mean, I'd expect SC to have no chairs but NC too? Dang, the US is in deeper poverty than I thought.

They only have outdoor chairs. :P

Nah, the room was too small to set up a real place to sit. I had to use the bed as a chair and the dresser as a table.

Ronnie Rowlands July 23, 2007 11:59 AM

...

Were you sleeping in a doll's house?

Danny Stewart July 23, 2007 12:23 PM

No... the room was just small.

Dalek104 July 24, 2007 6:47 AM

Nice to know you had a great holiday, Danny! At least you weren't forced to sleep on a hard floor in a hot, stuffy tent with strange Mediterranean insects crawling about. :P

Indeed. That would have been worse. :P
