Hehe. Thanks Danny. :D

Jez July 30, 2007 3:56 PM

You did it well and all.....but why??? :P

Danny Stewart July 30, 2007 4:51 PM

1) I was bored and felt creative yesterday.
2) What Danny said. Thanks!

Hamster July 30, 2007 7:47 PM

All that does is to remind me how little money I have to buy Apple products.

Of course, I did get paid 101 minutes ago, and the first thing on my 'To Buy' list is an iPod nano, but all the same...

He has displayed the ability to cut out pictures of Apple products and place them in order of size. He even managed to put some text in there, too.

Very impressive.

I am actually very pleased to hear that you believe those vector images are the real thing! And I only placed them in that order because it looked the best. And yeah, text is often a good thing to include when you want to title something.

I gave the low-res image a glance, decided to post something and then gtfo. Having looked at the big image, it becomes glaringly obvious. Not bad, but I would question why one would bother going to so much effort to recreate all those products. Nothing better to do? ;)

That very same question could easily be asked to you you know. :P
... or me. ._.

But honestly, define "better" :P This is astounding. Great work!

As I mentioned above, I was bored and I like Apple. And it wasn't that difficult. ;)

Some people play games in their spare time. Some people watch TV. There's heaps of things to do. You know you really need to start rethinking your life when you spend your spare time making advertisements for corporate entities perfectly capable of making their own.

Danny Stewart August 3, 2007 8:40 AM

No harm practicing for a potential future in graphic design / advertisement.

I have lots of spare time right now, and one of the things I like to do in my spare time is designing.

If you want to label my work as an advertisement, why shouldn't I be able to advertise? In my opinion, it is good to advertise something you like.

But I didn't intend this to be an advertisement. It was something which I enjoyed making and I thought I should share it with all of you. I don't see what's so wrong about using Apple, or any other 'corporate entities', as the design's subject.

Exactly. Thank you!

Danny Stewart August 3, 2007 3:34 PM

Don't let RV rain on your parade, James. You did great with it. :D

Josef Kenny August 3, 2007 4:17 PM

They're great. I like them. I wish I could afford apple products...

Danny Stewart August 3, 2007 4:18 PM

I'm saving up all my money as well as an arm and a leg to buy the nicer 15" MacBook Pro. Hopefully I'll have it within a month. (Can't wait!)

Josef Kenny August 3, 2007 4:32 PM

Yeah, I think apple products are probably the best when it comes to creative stuff such as music, and image and video editing. But they're probably not as good when it comes to stuff like gaming and modding and expandability. I would be saving up for perhaps a high end Macintosh (probably would get it in about 3 years though) to edit video with, but my house is too small!

I'm saving up for an iMac. Ooh, I can't wait. :D

No longer entirely the case, at least as far as gaming. The MacBook Pro I am getting is being purchased with gaming at least partly in mind. It will have an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT which is equivalent to the card I have in my gaming desktop right now, and of course it will also be able to dual boot Windows and thus run all my Windows applications and games.

And of course, I will be transitioning all of my music production facilities over to Mac ASAP -- I've already started moving over to my Mac mini and my somewhat less-than-legal OSX86 installation on my PC, so as soon as I get the MacBook Pro I will be free, free, free... and I'm so excited about it. :D

Oh no! Damn I forgot about bootcamp!

Well I'm going to bed now... its 22:32 and I'm worn out. Too much remixing today.
Will speak tomorrow.

Danny Stewart August 3, 2007 4:40 PM

Looking forward to it. :)

Apple is perfectly capable of brainwashing people themselves. Perhaps too much so if they can convince people like you to make advertisements for them.

Copying other peoples' style is hardly showing off your design skill. Its merely showing off how well you can emulate someone else's work. There's even a term for it: plagiarism.

If you want to 'show off' your graphic design capabilities, make something original.

I love Macs. Especially iMacs.

Small | Medium | Large

Superkid11 August 10, 2007 11:11 AM

Agreed, they're sexy.
Great job again! That looks completely realistic! :)

Dalek104 August 10, 2007 12:07 PM

Thanks Superkid! :)

I'm proud of this one. It's much more accurate than my previous attempt. Maybe it's just because the new iMac's so much better anyway. :P

Jez August 10, 2007 4:47 PM

I wish the Apple marketing department would learn basic grammar.

Josef Kenny August 10, 2007 4:53 PM

Yeah. Everybody knows it should be

Hamster August 10, 2007 7:48 PM

I must say, that is pretty snazzy! Looks totally realistic - well done!

Dalek104 August 10, 2007 7:57 PM

Thanks Hamster! :D

Danny Stewart August 16, 2007 4:31 PM

That's an impressive bit of HTML coding there, sir! Well done!

I'm also proud to say that Apple menu drop down came from my humble Mac. :P
