Murray got mad at me because I hinted at downloading his soundtrack here on the forums, and also because someone uploaded his soundtrack and posted a link to it on my site (which was not my fault or even under my control). I don't think he's being fair as I really didn't do anything wrong, except perhaps say something I shouldn't have, but he no longer wants anything to do with me and so that's his choice.

You're the one being ridiculous. If Murray became a graphic designer, his art would have clatter. Clatter can be in just about anything.

Actually, clothing can have musical elements put into it.

Hey, I didn't even end up downloading his stupid soundtrack. Well, I mean, I did, but only to tide me over while I waited for my damn preorder to come in. That's what I get for giving him my money, eh? I won't be buying any more after this.

(I must note that Weird Al who made that song has a beef with file sharing due to misattribution rather than money. He was credited for making some really horrible songs that he didn't do.)

No worries. It sucks but there's nothing I can do about it.

On that note, if there's any messages you'd like to leave for Murray, feel free to post them here. He and his spies visit this site regularly, so they'll probably read them. That is, assuming they've found a way around me banning their accounts.

Actually that does seem to be the case, since he stole one of the ideas that I used in my theme that I sent him several months ago!

Now that I think about it that video would be perfect as a message. :P
That is, if he can realize the underlying mockery.

Somehow I doubt that he would.

I also find him to be somewhat of a hypocrite, considering how we initially met through my running of the Doctor Who Theme Repository, which as you can imagine was not exactly on the legal up-and-up with the BBC. I guess these things only matter when they involve his own pockets and not anybody else's.

I still have a pair of Christmas socks from a few years ago that play "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" & "Silent Night" when you gently press the little music box device inside the hem.
Haven't worn them, because I think that helps the music box device to last longer. Still plays fine. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if Murray had those exact socks. Although he's probably hacked them to play "All the Strange, Strange Creatures" or something...

And they sound great. :)

I think we should stop going on about Murray! We all come here to praise and listen to hs great music! sure he blocked you Danny and it was probably unfair as you had no control over it but im sure he had his reasons, maybe just to stop it happening again!

I would not be surprised if Murry had a pair of musical socks he customized to compose new Doctor who themes on, he just programs what he feels, or smells.

It's a lot more complicated than that. We were in fairly regular email contact up until this incident occurred. Once this happened, he told me in no uncertain terms that he wanted me to never contact him again, and called me a whole host of names about it too. And I don't think he was being fair in any of this, because all of it was in response to something that wasn't even true.

Actually, blame can certainly be assigned to both of us in this case.

I don't see how that's stupid. I meant what I said. He got mad at me for allegedly downloading his album, even though I legitimately purchased it. Now I'm being punished for something I didn't do. That's not fair, no matter how you look at it, and the only thing I can do to really hurt Murray back is not buy any subsequent releases of his so that he doesn't get my money. Fair's fair.

As I wrote on my iPod to NegativeCyberman "I think you ARE Murray!" Then the internet conked out, but it was alright because it was somebody else's internet. I love my iPod.

The only reason I would say we should quit making jokes about it is that this incident was pretty sucky and Danny doesn't seem to like to think about it.

I don't terribly mind discussing it. To be perfectly honest, I'm happier with more people knowing just the kind of person Murray Gold seems to be.

Obviously none of us here except from you understand 100% what happened but all i was saying is that it is unfair talking about murray like this but its also unfair the way he treated you (i understand that now)! Of course you free to make decisions about wether you buy his records or not at the time i thought you were overreacting, but i understand now (how may times have i said that this post??)
