A note about downtime

I feel this is important to say. This site is in a constant state of construction and will probably never reach a "perfect" point. So if you ever come to the site and notice that it's down, don't give up. Give it a few minutes, maybe ten or fifteen, and then try again. If that doesn't work, give it an hour and try back. Don't give up. Chances are that one of the following is taking place.
  1. More frequently, I am working on some kind of slight change to the site or server that will result only in a few minutes of downtime.
  2. Sometimes, there will be a genuine problem. This will actually take some time to notice, then to diagnose and repair. Maybe an hour or two.
As you can see, usually the site will be back up soon. Certainly by later in the day, unless it is something very serious. So don't give up on us. Don't wait a day or two to return when you could just have to wait two minutes.

Thanks for your time!
