Site blogs moving to Zoints
 

Jez has very accurately pointed out that now that the Zoints community exists, it makes a lot more sense to keep users' blogs tied directly into the forums then having separate WordPress installations floating around the site. Because of that, I will be closing all the WordPress blogs I have put up on the site in an effort to drive users into the Zoints blogging system. It's a lot less work on me and it's designed to allow anyone who wants to use a blog to have one readily available as you want it.

This message applies to Ben Dawson, Chris Britton, Ronnie Rowlands, and Sam Davies. If you guys could please let me know if you're okay with this, I'll be able to begin the transition. Moving posts will be up to you -- if you don't mind losing the posts you've already made, I can delete them, but if you want them, you will have to copy and paste them into your Zoints blogs and keep them there.

I have copied all my posts over to Zoints. One thing I don't like about the new system is that the link isn't one you can just write down and give to people. Is there any way of redirecting people from the wordpress site to the Zoints blog?

You should be able to just give the link to people. For example, my blog is located at:
http://dannystewart.com/forums/z/blog.php?z-profile=Danny-Stewart

Yeah, it's not the easiest in the world, but you can always use a redirection service like TinyURL to get a really short one if you feel the need.

I've heard back from Ronn but no one else I mentioned above has talked to me. If you guys care, please come to me soon, or your blogs will just be erased!
