Murray Gold elements
1 Attachment(s)
This is a little something that I've been working on, it's a remix of the Doctor Who theme with the Murray Gold elements...it's completely orchestral. I should note that this isn't a remix of any particular theme, I've just mashed them all together. Hope you like it.

It's a bit slow - if you sped it up a bit you could really be onto something here. Good work! :) I liked the fact you included the countermelody at the end of the bridge too.

thanks, it is just a first recording and I did notice that it was a tiny bit slow, I was planning to speed it up for the recording but I forgot. I tried to add all the elements, I probably missed some things out but nothing too noticable, the countermelody was important, it wouldn't have been a Murray Gold remix if that wasn't there...I might make another version I'll play the horns version first and then the 1st and 2nd melody with the Derbyshire elements and then go to the bridge (without the countermelody), then play the 2nd melody then play the 1st and 2nd melody twice then go back into the bridge then play the countermelody/outro (if that makes sense).
A possible 2nd remix. |
Melodically fine, instrumentally worrying, rythmically suitable. :)
I listened to a sped up version of it with absolutely no change in key (I increased the tempo by about 12%. The software couldn't detect the BPM due to the lack in power of the percussion) and it sounded good. That said, it sounded quite good in it's original tempo too. Only the instruments need changing really. :) |
Hope you don't mind but I had a go at editing it myself. It has the right tempo now - if you go back and remake it, it needs to be approx 8% faster.
Murray Gold Elements, slightly sped up Now that I can listen to it at the speed you intended it sounds much better. Fantastic work there Ben :). Interested in hearing how your second one turns out! |
thanks MI7, I tried to get the instruments right...but as you know, I don't have a library of sounds like Danny...but it's sounding much better now, thanks
