This will be a portfolio of sorts showing some of the editing work I've done. At the moment I'm reediting a lot of the Doctor Who Next Time trailers. Here's some I've done so far.

good job, was that the concert theme?

Yes, he used the concert theme, with some emphasis courtesy of me. (He wanted a stronger brass section for the second melody, so I happily provided a clip of the brass from my Fool's Gold mix that he layered over top of the concert theme.) Anyway, I've already told him this but I haven't posted it here, so excellent work, Tom!

Doesn't sound perfect as the horns Danny supplied were based around the Series Two arrangement and the Concert version used different timing etc, but it's pretty good.

so, do you think there will be a new theme for the next season?

There might be, but i dont see the point in a new one.

me neither, I don't want another one. I mean, you wouldn't have seen a brand new theme each season in the classic series, would you now?

There was a new arrangement heard in the second trailer for The Runaway Bride, however the actual episode transmitted with the Series Two theme still in place. General concensus is that they mixed in the wrong theme by mistake in post production.

yeah, but do you remember the fact that the trailer for season one had a different arrangement of the theme than the actual season.

That was the electronic theme that Murray Gold made as a demo, this is completely new and would require the orchestra to rerecord it, something that simply isn't financially viable for a single trailer.

Though, I am starting to think that they simply took the CIN theme and *did* something to it, I've managed to synthesise it pretty closely:

Fact: There was supposed to be a new theme for "The Runaway Bride."
Fact: You all are not supposed to know this, so keep it quiet. :P

Speculation: The editors probably accidentally dubbed the wrong theme on at the last minute.
Speculation: The new theme will make its proper debut for series three.
