Who wants to view the banners?
 

As you know, we now have banners on the main page which correspond to the week's Doctor Who episode. There are some people on the forums who live outside Britain and/or cannot see it yet. We don't want the banners to spoil the episodes for those people, so we can give you a choice. You can either view the banner, or we can hide it for you. So please vote for your choice on the poll! :)

The banners really don't say that much, I don't mind seeing them. ;)

Be warned -- The future banners might. ;)

I don't pay much attention. If the people who don't want to see them are using Firefox, they can block them (you guys just need to make sure that the banners have the same name (at least on the webserver) so that they don't have to block a new image every week).

The whole point of this thread, though, is to figure out who doesn't want to see the banner, so we can do the work for them. We've already established a system for doing it, we just need to know who wants them hidden.

A much as I love Dominic's face staring at me whenever I look at the forum Index, I decided it would be better for my emotional health (and his lifespan) if the banners magically fell out of existence.

We're only talking about the episode banners. Dom's charming visage will remain up, just for you. :D

Like I said, I don't really look at them as the link I need to click to see posts is above them (pwnd). ;)

That said, they're not giving away anything compared to RT...

I beg to differ. That way I can keep an easy to maintain archive of banners for each episode without having to wonder at the filename -- each file is obviously named based on its episode number. I find that a lot more ideal than renaming files around every week.

Yeah, it is for me too, but my screen resolution is not 640 x 480 therefore it kind of enters my field of view anyway. :P
