How will Ten die?
 

A rather grim discussion for those of us that love David Tennant's Doctor(I am no exception to this. I seem to have strongly implied that DT himself brings out my gay side.) but a discussion that should be interesting anyway. Series 4 is going to be Mr. Tennant's third year, which is usually the last year for an actor to play The Doctor. Yes, the time when one actor explodes and turns into another one.

So what do you think is going to happen to cause him to regenerate?
Whenever I invision the event, I always see him in place of Tom Baker near the end of Logopolis. :P An event like this may be possible, because David Tennant has been praised as the best Doctor sense Tom Baker, so they might pull a stunt like that.

But I personally hope it's something much more climactic, something absolutely epic and stunning and incredible that it's going to leave you staring at the screen long after the episode is over. Such a brilliant Doctor and brilliant actor deserves a brilliant ending; but unfortunately it's an ending I can't fathom so far.

He may not leave next season, he may still though, who knows.
I think he'll be killed by Batman...or Superman, or at the very least, Lex Luther.

I think that it will be something involving the Daleks, as Dalek Kahn or whoever it is has gone on the run ("EMERGENCY TEMPORAL SHIFT!!"). And also, the Daleks 'killed' the 9th Doctor, and it's quite likely that RTD will be very unoriginal and do the same to Tennant's.

A different joke came to my mind though.
"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!! "

I still have a very tiny bit of faith for RTD to give Ten an awesome end, even if it does involve Daleks. If he even writes the finallie this season. :P

Well they did indirectly, as in, they were around when he died. I know it wasn't the Daleks that shot him, but they caused him to be in the situation where he looked into the vortex. Wooo! The vortex!

Err... actually he absorbed it from Rose but yeah, I see what you mean. :P
(starts thinking of the "Time Warp" song from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I haven't actually seen the movie but my girlfriend is obsessed with it.)

Sorry, I'm not very good with remembering RTD's stories. They're very unstraightforward.

I sort of understood Ghost Light, but only after I had listened to the commentary about 9 times.

But not knowing what caused most of the regenerations from the pre 2005 series means I can't think of a good way for it to be done to David Tennant.

Please not Daleks though. How unoriginal. A 3 year old could think that up. No offence to any 3 year olds on the DS Forum. :P

William Hartnell - Old age and general weariness pushed over the edge by stopping the Cybermen.
Patrick Troughton - Forced to regenerate by the Time Lords.
Jon Pertwee - Killed by radiation.
Tom Baker - Fall from a radio tower.
Peter Davison - Poisoned by a toxic substance.
Colin Baker - Err... hit his head on the TARDIS console.
Sylvester McCoy - Shot by some stupid gang member then butchered by the doctors at the hospital.

I take it I can stop there? :P

And Paul McGann is assumed to have regenerated due to the Time War. There are actually some pretty good Youtube videos that try to show the event and look pretty genuine while doing it. :P
