Server time sync fixed

As Jez has often pointed out, the time on the DannyStewart.com server has a tendency to run fast. When left alone for a month or two, it can drift as far forward as 10-12 minutes. However I believe I have now rectified the problem, installing an NTP (Network Time Protocol) daemon onto the server and setting it to synchronize the server's time with a global time server once every hour. There should be no more problems with the server's time being off.

I am very glad because this has been very annoying and inconvenient as I do not have any means other than this forum from which to derive the present time at all whatsoever for some reason.

Meh, I like to see clocks with the right time. Consider it an OCD. I hated watching myself viewing the forums several minutes in the future.

....it's two minutes slow. :)

Definitely, definitely is not. I checked it like eight different ways. :P

According to GMT, it's 21.54.

For me, DSF is 21.52. Go figure. :P

Stupidly, this post is timed at the correct time. ;)

Not sure how that works, as I set it to sync with the official NTP time servers (which run the time for a lot more important things than my humble site), and independently confirmed it with two other separate time servers. Ah well...

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 7:08 AM.
