Port forward won't stay enabled.
I'm trying to forward a port on my router (Lynksis Etherfast Model BEFSR41) for Transmission, but when I click "save settings", "enabled" isn't checked anymore. I've already turned off the OS X firewall for this.
This was never a problem on my old computer. I've tried Safari(which has trouble connecting to the router itself), Firefox, and Camino and it's all been the same. Any idea why this is happening? |
First of all, it's Linksys, not Lynksis. :P
Second of all, leave the OS X firewall enabled. That won't affect anything. Third, try running IE in a VM. It's possible your router uses a poorly coded interface that requires IE. |
I did that, and when I opened it up in IE it WAS checked... so I guess it is forwarded. I just need to look at it in IE. :P
Thanks! |
