Erm....wrong......just wrong.

I always thought Alienware stuff looked amazing.

Superkid11 December 30, 2007 12:36 PM

I used to like HP but... their customer service is awful.

They look quite ugly imo. If you want a prefab computer that looks pretty, get a Mac.

If you want to get a 'gaming computer', build it yourself.

I actually like HP. They're better than Dell, and when dealing with them for clients, I've had pretty positive experiences with their customer service.

Lucky you. :P My family sure hasn't had many positive experiences with their customer service, but they are pretty good manufacturers. It seems the nearby Staples is switching to Dell though.
(dang I sure wish there was an Apple store around that distance...)

I'm sure luck has nothing to do with it. It's probably just because I was dealing with their upper-level (and business-oriented) technicians.

Some of HP's products are good. They don't look "cool", and they're not gonna win any consumer awards soon, but they can occasionally make a decent product.

Every computer aside from my iMac that we have is HP.

Well mine was done by Packard Bell. The only issue mine is is it like to spend a couple of months a year constantly blue screening on me, then it calms down and life goes on.

Eww! Packard Bell is perhaps the most evil and hated computer manufacturer of all time.

It's almost as if HP and Dell were fused together into a steaming pile so terrible it couldn't properly spell the second half of it's own name.

My friend has a Packard Bell PC and it was really cheap but quite good spec for the time he bought it, the only slight hitch is that the RAM is dodgy, so is the HD, and they both kill themselves every so often and he has to reinstall windows practically every day for it to be usable.

Quoted for truth. if mine stopped having Computer Periods every month I would be fine. I was thinking of finally getting that Core 2 Duo to replace the prehistoric Pentium 4 I'm laboured with. But i wondered if it would be money better spent on a better computer

You see, THAT is the problem with having a female computer, every once in a month it just goes completely strange in behaviour.

You know, I think that picture is based upon Captain America...even the name, Captain Obvious, is similar to the name Captain America.
