Sorry, I don't understand.

Being a comic book fan and collector, especially of Marvel Comics I can easily answer this question for you Rat :)

The Power Cosmic is the most powerful force behind creation and it's power is considered infinite.

The primary wielder of this post is the cosmic entity Galactus, also known as the devourer of worlds. he has the ability to use and manipulate this energy to achieve pretty much any effect he wishes, such as ressurrection, size alteration, molecular alteration, force fields and so on. He can also give his heralds, such as the Silver Surfer a fraction of his power for their own purposes

Oh, I used to love watching the Silver Surfer animated show. It used to be on at like 5:30 AM and I never understood any of it, except there was this huge face like that one out of StarFox on the SNES and it used to talk rubbish every so often at you. And then the Silver Surfer flew for a bit and some pillars fell over. Very psychedelic. My friend once asked me "Is the silver surfer ill?"

I've not actually seen that series. I've watched the X-Men and X-Men Evolution ones, as well as the Spiderman and Fantastic Four series too. The face you refer to was most likely Galactus. Those last three sentences make me wonder how good that show was.

Still. Iron Man is out in three weeks, that should be a blast.

EDIT: moved the last three posts to keep the Doctor Who topic from straying.

As we're in the Marvel topic Chris, you may be interested in knowning that I have a perfect condition first edition of the issue of "Secret Wars" which features the first appearance of the Symbiote costume, it's very rare, and probably worth quite a bit. The guy sold it to me for 12 quid, not knowing how much it's REALLY worth, I've checked it out and it isn't a re-printing, it is an original.

That reminds me of the news story about that guy who got an original Declaration of Independance for a few bucks.

How the blazes could he have sold it for £12?! Such a rare and popular issue would be worth much more! I've never read it, let alone seen it anywhere. Ben, I hope you preserve that issue, it's priceless.

Although I do have a rare Shadowcat bust on my shelf, one of only 2500 in existance.

It's looked away in my big blue box, in a protective cover. How much do you reckon it's worth? I know that in America, a few years back, an original first edition of Amazing Fantasy 15 would get you about $400,000 I think.
What's even more amazing is, I bought it at a comic book convention a few years back in Newcastle.

Among very enthusiastic comic collectors, and given it's so well preserved. I would say it could be worth thousands but I'm not the sort of guy who can tell you that. You would need to find someone who specializes in such a thing. But I know you would get a fair amount.

I'M ****ING RICHh

Chris Britton April 15, 2008 5:12 PM

Maybe, I don't know.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on an original printing of the Dark Phoenix Saga.

Ben Dawson April 16, 2008 9:53 AM

Aye, that's the one where Jean Grey turns, isn't it?

Chris Britton April 16, 2008 11:41 AM

Thats right Ben. The Hellfire club captured her then manipulated her enough so that when the X-Men attacked that was enough to break down the psychic barriers and set the Dark Phoenix loose.
