New opt-out forum exclusion option installed
I am pleased to announce a new feature here on the forums!
FORUM LIST OPT-OUT/SELECTION Are you confused by the number of forums here? Don't have any interest in a certain show or don't want to be bothered by a certain section and would like them off your list of forums and not to be bothered by them in the "New Posts" or "View Daily" sections? I've now added a forum opt-out feature that will allow you to remove them and bring them back any time you'd like. Simply go into Edit Options (in your User CP). Down at the bottom, you should notice the newly added "Forums To Exclude From View" section. Follow the directions to remove entire discussion sections or even groups of sections... click on a section/group (or CTRL-click on more than one) and select "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page, and you're done. To bring them back simply select "Reset Exclusion" in that Forum list and hit the "Save Changes" button again. Hope you all find this feature useful! |
Is anyone actually using this? I thought for sure someone would find it useful. Take Max for example -- he could finally filter out all those annoying Doctor Who forums. :P
lol People not using it should be more complimenting to you Danny, then it shows they like every forum :P .
LOL, a valid point, I suppose. Thanks. ;)
...I don't see anything.
You're right, it's disappeared! Damn board upgrade. Now I have to put it back. :(
Nah, don't worry about it. Ross is right. ;)
Alright. Would you not use it, Max? Because you were actually the main one I was thinking of when I installed it. If you wouldn't use it, I won't bother.
Why use it? If I don't want to see something, I just won't look. :P
The posts still show up in the "View New Posts" section and it might unnecessarily clutter your view.
