Funny eBay sales

Why don't you tell about funny sales youhave seen on eBay and let us laugh at how desperate people can get. I had seen some funny sales myself, these include:

An Invisible Guitar: sales abadoned.
an British Pound coin, was sold for £5
A bucket of Bristol water.
an Xbox 360 box for $611

I would hope so. Anyone who would buy this has to be the sorriest of the sorry.

Some people will do this. We saw something similar in my sociology class when people bidded on a $0.25 coin for $4.00. :P

I can see it now, showing off to your friends. "Look, I got an Xbox 360!" *shows them box against the wall, with newly installed packing tape on it* "I'm not going to open it until Christmas as it's a present to myself. But I do have one! Really! See?" :D

Not recently, but I'll have to check now.

Chris Britton December 10, 2005 7:36 AM

Good, and report back. :)

I saw the air guitar a while ago. Im pretty sure someone was trying to sell their virginity on ebay a while ago. And believe it or not, there were bids.

Chris Britton December 10, 2005 2:23 PM

Yes, that was a Bristol University student, it made the local papers, and she got the money :)

Danny Stewart December 10, 2005 6:08 PM

Wow... that's so odd! How much did it go for?

Chris Britton December 11, 2005 10:39 AM

i can;t remember, something around the £2000 mark, but might have been more.

Danny Stewart December 11, 2005 12:56 PM

Wow. If it was only a few I might consider bidding. :P

(Okay, okay, just kidding. Yes, I realize that was in bad taste.)

Ross Hendrie December 11, 2005 1:20 PM

Extremely. That sort of thing should be banned from those sort of sites.

Chris Britton December 11, 2005 5:32 PM

It is very wierd what they allow.

Danny Stewart December 11, 2005 7:45 PM

Sometimes they let things slip and it's not intentional.

Chris Britton December 12, 2005 8:16 AM

Yeah, of course, maybe we can make our own internet auction site :P

Danny Stewart December 12, 2005 10:07 AM

I don't think we should be selling things like that though... :P

Chris Britton December 13, 2005 4:48 PM

Well of course. :P Maybe Max's Star Wars stuff. :P
