The "I'm not too sure I like Chris's new signature" thread

Pretty self-explanatory by the title, isn't it? I'm not too sure I like Chris's new signature... :P

Well personally I love it. Yoda is so cool. That scene rocked.

Danny Stewart December 10, 2005 7:19 PM

Okay, well then I'm going to have to bump "I'm not too sure I like it" up to "I hate it and I want it removed because it's too big and distracting and I don't like animated GIFs that big in people's signatures or profiles and it makes my laptop slower to load a page which is really annoying." *pauses to take a breath*

Palpatine vs Yoda>All

A little math lesson. :P

Ross Hendrie December 11, 2005 8:17 AM

Precisely. Why dont you just use firefox to block the file from playing and that way it wont have to load up. Maybe it's due to your mere 128MB memory on the laptop. Mine's 256MB, that's 128 more than your's :P .

Chris Britton December 11, 2005 10:37 AM

It does not bother me at all, i always wanted a mvoing sig. And the Yoda/Palpitine fight was awesome, but it is a smaller file then the other one i considered. Which was Palpitine killing Kit Fisto, i don't see much wrong with it, Just because i loved that scene in Star Wars, what if i stuck a Doctor Who one up? I doubt anyone would moan then. But i am happy with that one, I can try and make it smaller if i can.

Danny Stewart December 11, 2005 12:52 PM

Making it smaller would be fine, and that's a good idea to try and block it with Firefox. And Ross, I thought I told you the other day... my laptop's been upgraded to 256 MB as of two days ago or so.

EDIT: Victory! Adblock in Firefox is now set to no longer display images named Yodaduel.gif. I win! :P

It has, has it. Well my grand psanking new 512MB memory laptop will be arriving in the next few days. *steps in front of smouldering old laptop* Yeah my old laptop seems to have packed in btw, no sound again, plus I keep getting warnings up saying that the system in unstable.

Chris Britton December 11, 2005 5:31 PM

Thats alright, glad this ends well.

You know, this isn't a frigging competition and quite frankly it's starting to piss me off. My family can't afford to put food on the damn table each week, my dad's filed for bankruptcy, and you stand there laughing at me for having a substandard laptop. Well I'd like to see you lead my life and get a better bloody laptop!

Chris Britton December 12, 2005 8:18 AM

Ok Guys, please relax, i don't think Ross ment to piss you off Danny, so try not to take it to heart, I am sorry you are having money trouble Danny, i really am. Ross, i don't want you to lose your temper, take it in a calm fashion.

Danny Stewart December 12, 2005 10:08 AM

It's difficult to relax when you're in a situation like mine. People who are better off financially than me never seem to understand... I have yet to come across one who does.

Ross Hendrie December 12, 2005 12:10 PM

Calm down please, Danny I didn't think youd react like that because you took that sort of thing in jest the other day. The whole thing was a joke because my laptop blew up.

Danny Stewart December 12, 2005 12:40 PM

It's alright. It's just that I work in the computer field and should have the latest of everything. Life just doesn't work like that, and it's frustrating to be beaten by someone who (no disrespect intended) does not work in that field.

Chris Britton December 12, 2005 1:04 PM

It can be fustraiting, i know Danny, and i am sorry life is gettng you down, But we are all here to talk to you :)

Ross Hendrie December 12, 2005 2:50 PM

Well dont let me get you down, make a witty quip to annoy me lol. Like your PC is better than mine, *stomach wrenches* aggh it hurt to admit that. :P

Chris Britton December 13, 2005 6:14 AM

lol, Nice one Ross, glad to see you helping :)
