I never saw them in their old series appearence... But it sounds like they were good villains on their own back then. At least they still sucked up gas.
I just thought they could've made an effort to make them look a bit more alien. They just looked like giant crabs!
I agree, the Ice Warriors should come back. I never saw them either but they look cool(no pun intended...).
Maybe those parasitic wasp things from the Ark in Space too.
