I love the score for Goleneye! It's not exactly conventional but it was one of the scores that got me into film music. Eric Serra shouldn't have been boycotted so quicky imo.
David Arnold is very good and I prefer his Tomorrow Never Dies score than anything else he has done, including the Doctor Who theme. Although it does seem as if he's trying to imitate John Barry (listen to Tomorrow during the car intro scene then listen to the Goldfinger opening) and I don't think any composer should ever do that.
My favorite version of the theme has always been the original Derbyshire version because it's timeless and very well done.
