Whilst disposition is one tihng, and is this case may be considered a fair enough point to make ( No offence James) , questioning ones ability as a writer is quite another, and remember that he is younger then all of us, and writing something amazing, even at his age would be a challenge, I wrote a few short stories at his age I thought was crap, and so did others, and before i started doing fan-fiction proper it went through quite a few versions before i felt it was not as shit as it used to be and others agreed. So I believe as he ages and matures his writing will improve, as he learns what is good and what isn't. I don't think we see many child authors making a success of themselves bar the odd one or two, like the kid who did Eragon.

So the best way i cam sum this up is, James needs more time to find a style which works for him and others, While is story was not amazing and does need some more work, i saw flashes of talent in it and with some more work, and planning it will be better I tend to find with my stories I have it all planned out well it advance, I know what I am writing and what will happen. But no harm is consulting others who read it to find out what works best, I still do that anyway.
