Jamie is right James, at the end of the day you are entitled to believe what you think and I respect that. Hell I even thought the same at your age, I had only been diagnosed for a year and I was still under the belief that Aspergers Syndrome was a disease and a problem for me. I've aged six years since then, I've been exposed to Aspie culture, learnt about it, and I have come to revel in my independance, my different perspective on life. I'm proud to be an Aspie and i use that title proudly
Maybe it's something which comes with maturity, or as you grow used to it. I don't know when you got diagnosed so I can't be sure. My point of view is that Aspies are different people who don't need to be cured, there are some who disagree with me and I respect that also as there are those with very sever autism who would love who live a life like other people. But I look at people with AS as a cuture, and I am honoured to be part of that culture, that will never change for me

Which is why I have enjoyed being here and why I like DS.com a lot. Ok there have been hiccups so i don't want to sound hippocritcal, but for the most part I love it here and one reason is because everyone is unique and special, like yourself.
