A Christmas Carol + S6 Preview

Any thoughts from Danny Stewart's Forum on "A Christmas Carol"? I liked it fairly well, though I was disappointed at how mundane and Earthly the flying fish looked. The climax was such a farrago of nonsense that RTD must have been grinning in vindication. Singing the ice clouds into smoothness? Right...

Overall, though, I thought the twist on Dickens was very clever and well done, with the most poignant moment for me being the "Christmas future" segment. Michael Gambon was excellent, no surprises there. What was surprising was how little Amy and Rory had to do with the plot. An interesting choice for Moffat but I think it worked out quite well. And kudos for the Star Trek bridge!

Now, how about that S6 preview? That looked amazing. Nazis, Musketeers, creepy living dolls, gray aliens, men in black, and the Doctor captive in Area 51! Naked River, a green-eyed Ood, and the dodgy faux-TARDIS from S5! I honestly cannot wait until spring!
