Metallica: "Death Magnetic."
So i saw it down in Tesco's today for a tenner so i decided i should treat myself to an overdue dose of godlike metal gods and thier godlike music.
The result of this? Death Magnetic is by far a big step back in the right direction for Metallica. They certainly owed us all a good album and while this is not up to par with such albums like "Master of Puppets" or "The Black Album." it's a wonderful dose of great metal. I personally loved "The Unforgiven III" and "The Judas Kiss." from the album, the amazing guitar riffs are there and bring more then smiles to your face.
So yes, it;s a brief review but still I recommend buying as it's not going to disappoint. not Metallica's best effort but not their worst by far.

Murderous smiles? At "irritating grin" levels?

Basically it's at a "Whatever turns you on." kind

Well The Black album was always my favourite. I did veer away from them after saint anger though. I am quite fond of this album, its not as good as the Black album but i do feel that it is very good. Cyanide in particular.

I haven't heard the album yet, but I have heard Cyanide, and if that's anything to go by, sounds like an awesome album.

Well take it from me and Chris. Buy it download it or make a tramp recite it for you. It is a definite must in the metal department.

Quoted for truth. It's worth getting and especially for the price as well. It won't disappoint. I just hope they can take that and move forward. I'm a huge fan of classic Metallica.

I know exactly what you mean. Me and a friend digussed this this, hopefully St Anger was a pothole in the history of metal and now some community service driven convicts have filled it in. In true metal style.

Quite so, at least they haven't been digging the hole deeper. The period between"Master of Puppets" and "The Black Album." Was their best.
One thing i am surprised to keep hearing is people debating wither Iron Maiden or Metallica are better? Personally I think you can't compare two legendary metal bands of that Calibre

Well they're two different genres. You couldn't compare a legendary solo such as the Dance of Death solo with the God That Failed solo. Its better and safer to say that the two bands will always see a place in the history books of metal so there's no need to compare them. Iron Maiden = 5 stars Metallica = 5 stars. Simple as that.
