Should the bridge be reinstated to the theme?
As some of you may know, Murray Gold made the decision to remove the bridge (or middle eight) section from the Doctor Who theme. This section has been in the Doctor Who theme since it premiered in 1963, and just recently was removed by Gold. This poll is to determine whether people want the bridge put back in the theme.
I personally can't stand the fact that Murray Gold butchered the theme by removing my favorite part and desperately want it to come back!
There's some MP3 files of each clip attached as well.
main.mp3 - The main part of the theme, that Murray Gold left in.
bridge.mp3 - The bridge (or middle eight) section, that Murray Gold took out.

Thta is a disgrace, they should be ashamed they have cut up a classic theme.

Agreed. Murray Gold decided that he didn't like it, regardless of the fans who did, so he removed it.
Also, there's a poll now (I could have sworn I posted one earlier). Please vote.

Great, thanks Chris. The only possible legitimate reason Murray Gold may have had to remove the bridge was time. The closing theme is only 1:30 and it must be divided into thirds. The first one-third goes to the Next Time preview, and the second two-thirds goes to the credits. If he had the whole time to work with, it would fit better than trying to stuff it into the second two-thirds and still have it musically flow. But I don't care what has to be done -- bring it back!

A version of the theme with the bridge reinstated was used for "The Christmas Invasion". It's a little different, this version was performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Wales, I think. You can listen to some clips in the Murray Gold section of Danny's Theme Repository site.
