Nickelback

My favorite band is Nirvana, that's pretty clear. But one of my other favorite bands that I'm listening to at the minute is Nickelback. Only now am I truely listening to the guitar and the emotion involved in it. I liked them before but one of their really good songs that I'm drawn to is the song "Good Times Gone", it kinda reminds me of Nirvana in the way that they lived their lives. I have only got the "Silver Side Up" album from them so I can't say that I'm a proper fan, but I am listening to them quite a bit (Nirvana still dominates though).
Of course, "How You Remind Me" is also a great song, but I like every single song from that album. "Good Times Gone" is one of my favorites, which is ironic as I was turned of by the opening of it, but I was still a little nieve about music a couple of years ago, I could only go along with the overdriveness of rock music, but now I listen to the lyrics properly and the songs I like are songs that seem to connect to me. With Nirvana, that's just about every single song, I don't think I have even found a song by Nirvana that I don't like.
What do other people think about Nickelback? Just some trivia here, they are from Canada.
Plus there's the added bonus that no member have killed themselves and all of them are still alive, plus they are still making albums.

They're a good band. I haven't that many of their songs other than "How You Remind Me" but I enjoyed that until it got played too much on the radio. Luckily, it's grown on me since so I still enjoy it, although I haven't heard it in ages.

My friend is really into them (he's recently got into Foo Fighters which means we finally share at least one musical taste!) and has all of their albums, I believe. I don't have any of their albums as they're not a band I'm fussed either way about really, but they are good. That said, I could cope if they ceased to exist as a band, although they're good enough for me to say that I hope they don't split, lol.

I hear what you mean, the Foo Fighters are good as well, there is a lot of musical differences between Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain writting wise, ave Grohl also has a wonderful voice, I mean, just listen to Monkey Wrench, he can really make his voice go quite high pitched and still have it screaming. I he's also good at the softer stuff. He had a baby girl in April didn't he? Name Violet May.

I recently bought "In Your Honour" while I was on holiday, I was quite taken aback by it at first bu I'm getting used to it, I like it. My favorites are "Best Of You", "The Last Song", "Free Me", and "End Over End", I haven't really listened to CD 2 yet, I've listened to it once...oh, and I like "The Deepest Blues Are Black" and "Resolve".

It was the first album of FF I got. I only bought it because I saw it's price and thought "Hmm, that's cheap for a double - I'll take one!". I have to say, I was pleased with it and have since got "One By One" (I've always liked "Times like These" since I first heard it). I intend to buy all of their stuff but I'll wait until I'm in the mood for a new FF album first, lol.

Got Genesis's "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" album last week (released 1974). I didn't realise that it was a double album until I looked at it (which is why I bought it really - most of their stuff are single albums and I was intrigued at the 90 minutes of prog that this CD held). It's great! I finally got Mylo's album too. Been meaning to get the Lim Ed of it for ages!
