BBC asks me for the Doctor Who theme!
I wanted to share an intriguing story with you all and see what you made of it... two days ago, I received a very interesting e-mail. It was from a Mr. Simon Poole, producer of numerous radio series for BBC Radio 2. He actually asked me to send him a copy of the original Doctor Who theme, and that he needed it urgently for use in an upcoming radio show! He said he was "about to use the Tom Baker era one but daren't now as [he has] since discovered that there are two if not more versions before this one." I thought that surely this was some kind of joke or hoax, but I searched around for him online and sure enough I was able to confirm from multiple legitimate sources that he is a radio producer and he does in fact work at the BBC! So I sent him the file, he thanked me, and said to tune in Saturday at 1pm to hear the show. Unfortunately I can't listen as I'm not in the UK, but how about that? Someone working directly for and at the BBC e-mailing me to ask for a copy of the original Doctor Who theme! I'm astounded! I must have really established myself out there as a world-renowned expert Doctor Who theme resource, eh? It'll be a while before I get over that! What an honor! Hehehe.

Danny, your Doctor Who music must be easier then going for a shower without putting your underwear in the wash

For future reference, you can listen live to BBC Radio Two online.

What interests me is that this is the same network that, not much more than a month ago, forced you to shut down the Theme Repository site.
Interesting...

Indeed, it is interesting. But hey, at least I'm getting out there! I recorded it off the radio online so now I have it for safe keeping.

Danny you should have asked him to credit you for it live on the radio! That would've been so cool.

No, I wanted to avoid that! I've already gotten in enough trouble with the BBC for handing stuff out, I don't need more free trouble!

We're not exactly namby pamby, our voices aren't gay, why would you use the word "even" to describe a Dalek -- they're at the other end of the spectrum, i.e. the impossible to destroy side, and coins? Where are the coins?
