Daryl, please stop talking to members like that. This is exactly the kind of behavior that got you into trouble the last time. You have no authority to tell just about anyone here to stop talking, as just about everyone here has seniority over here and only the moderators and administrators have the authority to rule over a thread like this.

I know it's meant to be "all moderators together" but I'm baffled by this thread (especially considering the title).

RV's post was, to me, clearly insulting, and Daryl posted a predictable and justified response, yet there seems to be a bit of a "big boys' club" mentality going on where a certain few people can get away with damn near anything, and the people in the firing line get flamed if they retalliate.

I think everyone could do with cooling down a bit, as the forums are becoming quite a volatile environment IMO due to the blatant and wilful hypocrisy of some posters.

Very true exactly, if you take the time to look as well you will notice most of the negative comments/ remrks do come from RV's post wich, as chain reaction ,continues into a big argument, RV starts the MAJORITY of arguments in this community.
By the way my signature is a PARODY / come back to RV's signature, witch he deserves.

Danny i agree, many of us, can take a joke but this just isn't one. Neither its a "laugh" or "fun"
