Yes, they are like gangsta rappers, except, white. There are a load of them near me, they call themselves "Junction Crew" and they hang out and annoy people. They did actually spend a lot of money on a local recording studio to make their own "crew song." I laughed my cock off, it was so pathetic, one of the verses went like this:

"We go to *Cineworld, KFC, **Maccy D's too
Spitting on the pavement
CHORUS: JUNCTION CREW!"

*Local cinema
** Chav for "McDonalds."

This verse comes from the fact that all mentioned shops are popular chav hangout places in the Junction.

Is the Golden arches considered a chav term for MacDonalds too?

We have a load of chavs near us who are all old enough to drive scooters

They fiddle with the exhaust pipe so that it makes a reeeeeally loud noise. And drive round the culdesac again and again and again and again (sounds fun).

Then they start shouting at night time. I'd tell them to shut up but they'd "shank me"

Oh and they throw snowballs at me when we're rowing!

Yeh, it isn't hard to establish that. Some people call MD the golden arches! I wasn't asking for the reason, i was aking if it was a the chav way of saying it!

I've never heard it, but it might be down where you are. All I can say is that it isn't up here in the north east of England.

And It's not a term I have heard here in Shropshire or down in Yate. But both are filled with Chavs and it's not just McDonalds, it's also those fast food outlets ran by the Indian people. The local one here in Uni got attacked twice by Chavs in one week.
