Favorite episode
Here's a rather predictable question but something that hasn't been yet asked and I've been very curious about. In the whole of Doctor Who, old series and new series combined, what is your favorite episode out of all the ones that you've seen?

Megan's probably going to say The Mind Robber.
As for me... it's between a few. The Tomb of the Cybermen, The War Games, Genesis of the Daleks, and The Talons of Weng-Chiang are front-runners. My opinion might be different tomorrow, but today I'll go with... The Tomb of the Cybermen.

Thank you Danny but this -is- the ask Dominic Glynn forum.
But I just realized we don't have a thread like this for the rest of us either. Topic split maybe?

OMFG. Way to check what forum people are posting crap in, Danny.
Thread split is on its way.
EDIT: Okay, now we've got two copies. One here, and the original left undisturbed in Dom's forum. Sorry about that.

Ah, all right!
Well... my experience with the old series is rather limited I'm afraid. My opinion will probably change as I see more and just as I, in general, start thinking harder about it, but my favorite so far seems to be Resurrection of the Daleks. ... probably because that was my first Doctor Who. Like I said, that's bound to change sooner or later.
Now if only they gave it the same special effects update they gave Revelation. It's not a big deal, but the invisible lasers are a little disappointing. ... well, for the most part. The Dalek Trooper's fire direction being invisible with just the weapon itself glowing actually made it pretty intimidating.
(I'm not just picking out of the old series. As I said in the original post, I'm picking it out of the entirety of Doctor Who. Or at least what I've seen.)

The point is to group the old series and new series together and pick one favorite out of everything. Separate favorites for the old and new series kind of kills that.

Ah, shoot... Well I'll have to do a bit of thinking then... Remembrance of the Daleks. It was one of the first Doctor Who serials I'd seen, and it also has the plus of being the first serial aired after I was born.

My favourite finale would be Utopia/TSOD/LOTTL.
If I had to choose a single episode it would be Blink or TSOD or LOTTL.
Or POTW.
Shit, this is hard.

So RTD's second biggest clunker beat out the entire old series. How depressing.

Ah, an episode I enjoyed slightly on Youtube is your favourite, beating out the entire new series and all the really good old series episodes.
How depressing.
