Trial of a Timelord 2008 Remix!

Lookee here! It's a remix of Dominic Glynn's 1986 arrangement of the Doctor Who Theme! It sounds interesting to say the least, in my opinion they should have added in the rhythmic hissing along with the other sample of the Derbyshire arrangement's baseline.

Well, now that this is out, I guess I can finally tell you guys. The remixed version was done by Dominic Glynn himself (as were the new opening and closing versions on the DVD), and Dom consulted with me on each of the new versions for the DVD.

And where do you think he got the Derbyshire samples from?

I offered advice primarily on loyalty to the original Derbyshire theme rather than the sound of the theme itself (that's his domain as it's his version). But I hope you like it, as Dom and I are both very proud of it (and, I'm sure, glad to see it finally released).

Dom will be sending me the original multitracks to each of his versions of the theme in the next few days, at which point I will probably be posting a few remixed versions here on the site (assuming that's okay with him of course).

I can do a version of the Trial 2008 theme with hissing for you if you like.

Sounds pretty damn cool, though I'm not too keen on the clicking percussion that runs through it, other than that, it's awesome.

I actually think the analog percussion sounds awesome.

I found it slightly irritating and distracting, but that's just my opinion.
