Doctor Who 5x07 - Amy's Choice
This episode wins on many levels, not the least of which being the writing of the Doctor.
It's clear to me now why Simon Nye never wrote for the show before. He couldn't have written for RTD's era.

This episode was definitely a dark and creepy episode. It was absolutely brilliant.
With a big majority of the episode being set in the Tardis, I couldn't help but be reminded of the 1st Doctor story "Edge of Destruction", and the way it was all resolved seemed rather reminiscent of the story as well. The idea of the Dream Lord was brilliant, he seemed like such a classic series concept of a villain, especially when he turned out to be part of the Doctor's psyche, that was a brilliant twist.
All together, this is a supremely strong episode, and this series is definitely a supremely strong series.

Dear God, this episode... Absolutely brilliant! Like Ben Dawson said, it reminded me, too, of "Edge of Destruction." I'm really liking this season so far.

As does Simon Nye. Simon Nye wrote the brilliant 'Men Behaving Badly', a sitcom with Neil Morrissey. And there's going to be an episode written by Richard Curtis of Blackadder and Mr Bean fame. Odd that Moffatt is bringing in his fellow former comedy writers to join the team.

And odder that they get the show in a way RTD never did.
Odd but appreciated.

Moffatt and the crew really do have it. Brilliant episode, loved it so much, dark.

Amazing, so amazing. The end caught me completely off guard... and it fit so well, showcasing how even the Doctor isn't perfect. Something that the RTD era lacked.

The villain of the story was the Doctor. Chew on that.
