Doctor Who 1x11 - "Boom Town"
This week on Doctor Who:
A surviving Slitheen, masquerading as the mayor of Cardiff, plans to construct a nuclear reactor in order to tap into the power of the time rift running through the heart of the city. The Doctor, Rose and Jack set out to stop her and turn her over to the law on Raxacoricofallapatorius. But the Doctor is faced with a difficult choice when it is revealed that the Slitheen faces a death sentence on her homeworld.
And next week on Doctor Who: a whole shitload of Daleks!

4/5, to me it feels a sort of forced connection between two previous episodes, like the makers looked for anyway to tie together two previous episodes and this doesn't seem to me to be the best way to have brought the Slitheen back for another episode, if their family is so big then why not have some of them coming to Earth for revenge? I do think the rift is important enough to be brought back, so that is ok enough.

I absolutley loved the episode. Is a fantastic and moving 45 minutes and had a very tense ending whcih turned out to be happy. I loved it and i really enjoyed being transfixed.
I am really looking forward to the next episodes. It will be Daleks galore.

I heard they brought Annette Badland (Margaret Blaine, the Slitheen) back because they were so impressed with her when she came on to do Aliens of London and World War Three.

I felt convinced by her acting. So good for the producers.

It's always nice when they do stuff like that. She was an evil character, but certainly a good actress. This was a good filler episode between last week's scary one and next week's season finale. I haven't yet broken my chain of 5/5 for any episode yet though!

My chain is the same. And it hopefully should stay that way.

I can't imagine the finale lowering in quality from what we've seen so far this series. I can safely say we have nothing to worry about.

I would agree with BajoranRogue on this one, up to a point. I mean it was a good episode, but not worthy of a 5/5.

Well, it is a matter of opinion really. Some of you tihnk that they are good, but not perfect, while Me and Danny for example think they are perfect. It is nothing bad, you all have you liking. And that is perfectly fine.
