He's either pretending to be drunk or really trying to piss Danny off.

You'll go down in history as "the guy who got something quoted in RV's sig."

It's the implications.

The reason it's a good quote is because when it's out of context it sort of implies Danny is a raging anger machine.

It's "Hallelujah," Sam. And we are now at 20,047 posts! Yay us!

Why am I going to be pissed off now?

Yes -- the above giant warning box from the first post does.

Actually, the post count is over 28400 (this particular post is the 28409th). It's just that the actual post count doesn't include the deleted posts. The database ignores the deleted posts so that you don't get two posts of the same number. It's complicated to explain, easy to understand.

If you understood this, get yourself a cookie:
Basically, if the actual post count (ie, the number of posts in the database) is 15 and post number 14 is deleted, the next post will still be post number 16 according to the database. If that didn't happen, you'd end up with two 15th posts because the database won't think to move the original 15th post down so that it's 14th. Why? Because it would slow the forums down completely. The number of posts will still be 15 but the database will read the count as being 16.

I'm good at noticing that sort of thing.

Sorry to kill all your vibes.....not.

I actually was aware of that... but the actual post count isn't the only one that doesn't count deleted posts -- neither do I!

Lol. I like to educate the uninformed.

Besides, I'm like a database - I like things to be just right.

We'll throw another party when we reach 30,000-including-deleted posts.

Lol, like the last one? That was a killer party....quite literally.....of boredom due to a lack of events.

I went into the chat room for about two and a half minutes and talked to myself. It was quite a party.
