Yay, an anime thread!

Wow, I love anime, my favourite series are: Dragonball, (Z), Naruto, Bleach, Wolf's Rain, Love Hina, Beyblade (ha) Death Note (< amazing) Fruits Basket.
Eventhough I'm a girl, I'm more of a shonen fan. But I have to say I prefer the orignal jap version with subs.
I'm working my way through the Naruto fillers at about 190 (ugh, I can't wait until Shippuuden) and with Bleach I got a little bored with the Bount arc fillers too. It just keeps dragging on.... I want to see Aizen again! I love him: evil >=)

I have only just seen this thread, proberly because I havent posted for ages. But yay, anime fans on DS.com! I thought I was alone...

Don't believe I've seen you around before, but nice to finally hear from you!
Oh, love the avatar by the way.

Just finished watching Death Note myself.. dear god, I loved every moment of it. So sad it's over. I think I need to track down copies of the live action movie if I can now, I've been hearing good things about them.

Sadly I've only seen Bleach, one episode of Wolf's Rain, a few of Love Hina and now all of Death Note, out of your list. I really need to start catching up on such things. But I do agree the original jap with subs = best way to go. Some subs are.. ok, but, I prefer hearing the original voice actors.

I just need to work on learning Jappenese now.

Skip them! They really sucked and dragged on, but once they got out of that arc, you get a TON of everything that is good about Bleach. Including Aizen. It's really awesome. Bount was just an annoying mistake.

Not alone at all, haha. I hope more Anime lovers end up posting, or maybe we even convert some people into watching more.

You can learn with me! I have the Rosetta Stone and I'm taking it next semester at school!

I'm really scared of how intense it's going to be. I keep imagining going to class the first day and hearing the teacher say, "Memorize all hiragana and katakana by tomorrow!"

I would just collapse and die.

Yeah, the parts of Death Note I have seen have been amazing =) But episode 25 was so sad L was my favourite, urg so tragic.... <=( But at the moment I'm waiting for the dubb finish, cause eventhough I mostly prefer subs, the Death Note dubb is pretty good =P

By the way can either of you let us know when Naruto and Bleach's fillers stop? I was actually interested in a couple of the arcs that were developing but I lost the motivation to watch them. I'd rather not spend an entire day watching what I missed, so I'll just skip the filler episodes.
