It's only like 4.5 GB. How can you not have 4.5 GB? Don't I recall you saying over summer that you'd have a new bigger hard drive by the end of summer anyway?

I don't have it, and even if I just had it or a few hundred megs over, I still need that space for something other than a mere television show, like term papers, graphics for school, music, a game or two, etc.

It's actually a 20 GB hard drive, Ross. They always make them like that, with not all of the space fully usable. I'm not sure why exactly. On my old computer, the overhead on the drive was so bad that only 131 GB was useable on a 160 GB drive!
And my laptop came with a 20 GB hard drive, but I upgraded it to a 40 GB. Now I'm safely dual booting Windows and Linux, and it works really well. I primarily use Linux only on my laptop, since the only reason I still use Windows is for either games, music editing, or video editing, and my laptop doesn't do any of those things anyway, so it doesn't really matter. |
