Sarah Jane Adventures forum added

I know I'm late, but I've just added a forum for The Sarah Jane Adventures, along with a poll for the first episode. Stop by and vote in the poll, and feel free to start some threads too. Enjoy!

Here's a link to the forum.

I can't wait for "guy seen briefly in the second scene of the third episode in the second season of that spinoff's" spinoff.

Can't have enough spinoffs, can we Mr. Davies...?

Hey, I enjoyed SJA. Speak for yourself. As long as they're good, I don't see why there shouldn't be a few out there.

Unless he has something valuable to say.

He's just angry he never got his own Doctor Who spinoff.

Seriously, though. Probability says eventually there'll be a bad spinoff if they keep making them (the chance increasing the more they make). At best the spinoff can die quietly, at worst it's tied in to the main show (Doctor Who) so tightly that it ruins the entire franchise.

Anyway, wouldn't the extra funds go better towards Doctor Who? Despite how much I like the series, it could use some better special effects.

I suppose that's one way of looking at it. I've enjoyed both the ones they've made so far, and the more they make, the more they detach them from regular Doctor Who, so hopefully it won't be a problem.

I disagree. I think the effects are fine the way they are, and that Doctor Who has enough of a budget to thrive where it is. Frankly I don't want Doctor Who to have huge-budget special effects. It just wouldn't be right.

that would detach it from the show it used to be, it'll forget about it

Doesn't matter much to me... it's not as though they're changing Doctor Who into this. They're just adding more to watch.

true, but isn't it more mysterious when you can't see exactly what is going on, then you wish you could see exactly what's going on and continue watching until you do see what is exactly going on. I think you know exactly what is going on, don't you?

Ben, please refrain from posts that don't make any sense -- that's a perfect example of a completely unnecessary post. It wastes everyone's time.

Exactly what I was thinking.

SJA didn't appeal to me so I didn't bother watching it.

He just kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had a chance to interrupt him it was really quite hypnotic.
