Zoints Local system installed
I've just installed a new system for members to keep track of profile information, called Zoints. Zoints is a real web site, but this version, Zoints Local, is designed just for organizing information in a web forum such as ours. It's kind of like a mini-MySpace, and frankly I have no idea how it works yet. I'm relying on you guys to figure it out for me.
It can be accessed here: http://www.dannystewart.com/forums/z/
Here's a rundown of its features:
Zoints Local is the most powerful social networking and profile enhancement script on the internet. Fully installed on YOUR forum, it allows you to create an infinite amount of "pages" and "blocks" for your members. Highly configurable, you can choose to allow members to create and share profile styles, have a personalized homepage, drag and drop blocks and pages to different locations, and much more. Your forum is about to become a niche social network!
- AJAX and drag and drop technology
- Ability to create and share new content blocks
- Social networking and friends lists
- Comprehensive privacy controls for members
- Blog that can be upgraded...
- Resume page
- "My Vehicle" page
- Powerful friend/network tracking page
- Addition to the Zoints.com forum directory
- Integrated tour creation script
- Integrated flawlesly with vBulletin
- Utilizes vBulletin PM system
- Automated installer
- MUCH more!

I hope you guys like it. It's really just an experiment at this point. If you don't like it I can remove it.

I'll give it a try. It might turn out really good for the members.

That's what I was thinking. It develops a kind of social network, which I think would be nice around here. We'll see if it works out.

Would be nice, although I doubt the upload is going to work from this worthless hunk of silicon (different computer to the last one, terrible).

Lol, get an USB Memory stick RV.
128MB is about 8 quid now.
Zoints looks interesting, I'll have a play around with it later. If I like it enough, I might see if we can install it at BS.

I had one, but I lost it. 256mb, it was an mp3 player, too.
Buying a later model tomorrow when I get Gears of War and Small Arms!

Ok, I've created a (much-needed) Black colour scheme for you guys.....well, I actually created it for me, but I've made it a public scheme.
I may experiment with other stuff at a later date...for now, black/grey will suit me fine.

Yeah, I have no idea about that. I just thought "Hmm... how random... why not have a My Sofa page just to round it out?" If I can turn it off I may.

Don't. I'm going to enjoy being the only regularly active member with a vehicle once I get one.
