Doctor Who 2x09 - "The Satan Pit"

Plot Summary
Rose battles the murderous Ood and the Doctor finds his every belief being challenged to the core, as the Pit beckons in the concluding part of this two-part story. With the planet threatening to fall into the Black Hole, the Doctor must make the ultimate sacrifice – but can he save the entire universe from the Beast?

Danny's Review
A fantastic finale to a shocking and terrifying episode of the new series of Doctor Who. This episode had some brilliant moments, and the entire thing was executed so well that I think there could have been no better way to end such an excellent concept for a story. 9/10.

I must say the episode was a lot poorer than last week. Rose's character is becoming far too 2D for it to be credible. All she did all episode was shout "Doctor!" in that maddening London accent down the comm, I know the companion is supposed to do that a lot but it was too much, far too much. Very far down on last week's im afraid.

It's summer and it's World Cup fever, so yeah, ratings are a bit low. But audience share and audience appreciation are still at record highs -- the actual ratings themselves don't mean as much.

The rateings have done well, considering the sports, but i still think it was a brilliant episode. I was impressed, it;s a shame the week after, the episode was so bad, but this has bee another high point, good job guys

Btw, just for the record, everyone should have died in an explosive decompression in this.

lol In the rocket when the glass shattered, the cockpit was that small that in such a confined space the air would've sucked everyone out, or else left umm, a rather nasty mess inside.

LOL Even if they could breath in space(which really I dont see being possible), the air would still have blown them into space.

Yeah but with the force of the decompression it wouldn't have made much difference. I think.

Well, you have to think, that's probably what seatbelts in rockets are at least partially designed for. But whatever. The point is that this was an excellent finale to an excellent two-parter, and let's just leave it at that.
