Doctor Who 3x02 - "The Shakespeare Code"
Plot Summary
The Doctor and Martha travel to Elizabethan England, where the famous playwright William Shakespeare is being controlled by three witches called Carrionites. The Doctor and Martha must stop the evil witches, and Shakespeare must give the performance of his life in order to save history.

Excellent episode! I don't know if it was just being able to watch it on its first transmission or the quality of the episode itself, but whatever it was, I couldn't stop smiling the whole way through the episode for some reason. I thought it was great! Very enjoyable episode, and a solid 9/10 from me.

That's got to be the best episode of all of the last 3 series. I'm a big fan of Shakespeare so hearing his use of language really had me gripped. Best episode I've seen in a long time. And the past 2 episodes have been a great kick-off to the series. Brilliant acting from all the actors, and a well replicated Globe theatre as well, 10/10

I'm wondering if this year, there will be an episode whereby the entire forums are split in half, right down the middle, with half of us screaming obscenities, and the others forming a wall holding shields out in protection, ala "Love and Monsters" last year

There is supposed to be a Doctor-lite episode this year. It's called "Blink" and it's written by Steven Moffat. It's episode ten. If there will be one like that this series, that may well be it. Although the fact that it's written by Steven Moffat makes me worry a lot less.

That was an excellent episode. I wasnt expecting much based on the preview to be honest, but I really did enjoy it. That part at the end was good aswell, when the Queen tried to have the Doctor killed lol. I hope that is revisited in a future ep.
Though, if the Doctor is an enemy of the crown, surely Queen Victoria would've recognised his name when they met last series. But well... I wont rant on. Good episode. 9/10. And Love and Monsters rocked, btw.

 7/10 for me. I'm not gonna get overly excited about the early episodes. That said, I did like the witty one liners. Martha is brilliant. I was skeptical about her characteristics at first but she's a great addition to the series. Freema Agyeman makes Martha extremely believaable too. Good stuff from her.

Martha is excellent, she's so much better than Rose. Rose was just too clingy, and too soppy. Rose just didn't work. Rose... Won't do...
