Doctor Who 2x07 - "The Idiot's Lantern"
Editor's Note
Sincere apologies for the delay in getting this poll online. It's especially unfortunate now that the next episode has aired as well, but the whole BBC incident got me a bit distracted. Anyway, here is the thread now for your discussion.
Plot Summary
It's 1953, the Coronation year of HM Queen Elizabeth II, and the people of Great Britain huddle round their television sets to witness the great event. But behind the celebrations there are rumours of monsters on the streets, and the tormented Mr Magpie is hiding a strange and alien secret.
My Thoughts
I enjoyed this episode. It was a lighthearted episode but with many memorable moments and what I thought was inspired directing. Especially the exchange between the Doctor and Tommy's father. "I am talking!" "AND I'M NOT LISTENING!" Great stuff. Good writing from Mark Gatiss, and I think I actually enjoyed this episode more than his contribution last year, "The Unquiet Dead." My final rating: a 7/10.

Excellent episode. I love that period in time. And also it was very pro-monarchy.

I thought that threads closed automatically after a certain amount of time with no posts. I'm not sure what the "expiry" time is but it sure as hell aint 2 years!

I believe I had it set to 60 days. I'll have to make sure that's still on.
