It was pretty much a pointless episode that tied up / solved nothing, could have been done without, was filled with stupid and awkward dialog.. and yeah, was pretty much crap.

Incorrect -- this is not considered part of the finale. The finale is two parts and starts next week.

So yes -- tied up and solved nothing, and was completely and utterly pointless. And annoying. And crap. Yeah.

The whole point of the story is what a world without the Doctor would be. And I thought it was interesting and fun to see.

RTD created such a realistic world (in the way that we cope) without the Doctor.

Through this Rose found Donna and a connection to the Doctor as she has been searching through all the worlds for him. In this world she comes to late and sees him die but finds Donna instead and uses this to get to the Doctor.

I think Rose can always see the Doctor (e.g in Midnight) But can only travel through to another universe if it is present day or on Earth.

Confusing but as Ron said it will all be tied up by 13, even if it isn't part of the finale. Theres still things from episode 1 and 2 that haven't been tied up!

Can't wait for the finale. Its going to be incredible and all the companions (plus a few of their friends) all coming together will be great!

Well i felt this truly was one of the finest pieces of television I have ever seen.

There.

I was particularly moved by the 'Labour camps' scene, so moving and so real. I didn't find this annoying and crap at all. And also, I think this is a three parter, because it ended on a cliff hanger that is going to lead directly into next week's episode.

So, you know, whoever wants to start the boring ''RTD must die" tirade again, go right ahead, I'm out of this thread.

Agreed, there were tears in my eyes when they took nice Italian man away to die. Shades of Children of Men or V for Vendetta there, methought.

Isn't it great how we all have differing opinons on the episodes, with this degree of variance the series stands in good stead to carry on for a very long time indeed (longer than it already has done obviously!) and with who ever is at the helm. So long as we don't get too pickey with each others opinions or postings these are very interesting discussions. A bit of respect goes a very long way.

Oh, somebody is bound to spoil the status quo. Most of the time, I simply post my (short) op, vote, and then gtfo of the thread.

I like how Danny hasn't bothered to put the real program synopsis up... Not! Way to go and throw your dolly out the pram. We all know you hate RTD and the return of Rose but who cares what you think. I really enjoyed this episode and liked the idea of how the world would be without the Doctor. One of the best episodes of the series. I also liked Murray's score in this episode.
