While this is fun to play with and I have done it myself many times before, it really only serves as a "demo" to whet your appetite even more for a real Mac. It is extremely difficult to make OSx86 work with all available hardware. Usually some things will just not work no matter what you do (most commonly sound and internet). I have wasted many hours trying to get OSx86 working on various machines. I think the reason Apple doesn't work harder to shut down OSx86 is because all it really does is show people how awesome Mac OS X is (albeit in a mostly buggy state due to it being patched in many places) and make them want to get a real Mac.

OSx86 is definitely NOT for the computer illiterate.

Well, first of all, Rat is definitely correct about usability. While it is a fascinating project, you will be able to run very little on it successfully. Even Firefox has some minor issues, and that's about as simple as applications come.

Second of all, Apple has very strict requirements about what OS you can install using Boot Camp. It MUST be a 32-bit version of Windows XP SP2 or Vista. No exceptions.
