I never liked the portal and I didn't know anyone was using it. What about it did you like, Ross?

Oh, and as for the wiki, I can try and retrieve it from the old server.

How about this -- I'm happy to set up new individual blogs for any users that are interested. You'll have a dedicated web site just for you that you can set up any way you want it. I'd personally rather do that -- allows users more flexibility, for one thing.

Ross, I'm afraid trying to put the wiki back up has only resulted in corruption and database errors. I can keep trying, but it's not going to be as simple as I'd hoped it would be (export the old database, install a new copy on the new server, then import the old database). I'll see what can be done.

I'm still mulling it over but it's not looking good. I have one or two other things to try before I give up though.

At least we still have our little retreat, where we can come and be ourselves and just chat in our own little getaway where no-one can obher us. I am content with that, you have done so much Danny

A wiki sounds like a good idea. I'm not fussed though if you can't retrieve it or make a new one, Danny. And it would be interesting to read some people's blogs here.

Yes, Ross, it would be quite easy to set up a brand new version. I'll let you know if I can't do it any other way.
